One model’s specifications, not a collection-wide template
A Cartier France listing for a medium steel Panthère specifies a quartz movement, a 27 mm by 37 mm case, 6 mm thickness, a synthetic blue spinel crown, a silvered dial, blued-steel sword-shaped hands, a steel bracelet, and 3-bar water resistance—about 30 meters. Those figures belong to that listed model and market; they should not be applied to every Panthère. Check the product page for the particular reference and region when comparing dimensions, materials, or water resistance. Cartier France’s medium steel listing gives those specifications.
Does “back on the prowl” mean the Panthère has made a comeback?
The phrase works as a description of the watch’s enduring visual identity, but the official Cartier pages cited here establish its 1980s origins and continued collection presence—not a recent cultural revival, increase in popularity, or rise in sales. They also do not establish celebrity adoption or resale performance. Treat claims of a comeback as interpretation unless supported by independent, dated evidence.
