The Cartier Tank Cintrée Les Rééditions in platinum is a 2023 limited re-edition of the 1921 Tank Cintrée—not an original vintage watch. Its reference is WGTA0193, and Cartier says the numbered run is limited to 150 pieces. The elongated, curved case, eggshell-color dial and manual-winding movement distinguish it from a standard Tank.
What is the platinum Tank Cintrée Les Rééditions?
Cartier introduced the Tank Cintrée in 1921, developing the form from its original Tank design, which the maison dates to 1917. The Cintrée keeps the Tank’s long, rectangular geometry but curves the case to follow the wrist. The WGTA0193 is a modern interpretation of that 1921 design, issued in 2023 as part of Cartier’s numbered Les Rééditions series.
Cartier says earlier releases in the series included a yellow-gold Tank Cintrée in 2021 and the Pebble in 2022. Its September 2023 account of the platinum model is available from Cartier.
How to identify reference WGTA0193
The design combines a 950/1000 platinum case with an eggshell-color dial, Roman numerals, a minute track and blued apple-shaped hands. A ruby cabochon tops the crown. Cartier describes the polished vertical brancards as contrasting with matte horizontal case surfaces. The watch is fitted with a black alligator strap and platinum pin buckle.

Cartier’s page gives two thickness figures: 6.03 mm in its narrative and 6.09 mm in the specification block. The movement block states a 33-hour reserve; some specialist launch coverage reported 36 hours, so 33 hours is the manufacturer’s stated figure.

Cartier specifies a numbered edition of 150. Phillips cataloged one example as number 147/150, accompanied by a Cartier warranty dated September 15, 2024. That listing confirms an individual numbered watch, not a broader statement about current availability.

What did the platinum Tank Cintrée cost?
Published launch prices from 2023 were market-specific: Hodinkee reported US$38,500 for the US launch, while SJX reported CHF 34,700 and SGD 55,000 for its launch markets. These are historical launch prices, not current retail quotes. Current boutique inventory and a present-day retail price are not established by those reports.
Phillips recorded a sale of one WGTA0193 for CHF 50,800. That is a single auction result from 2024, not a general valuation or a current market estimate; condition, provenance and sale context affect comparisons.
