What do the black finish and dial comprise?
Cartier describes the case and bezel as steel and ADLC, and the dial and steel sword-shaped hands as black. The hands contain luminescent material. The crown is steel, with a black faceted synthetic spinel. The product description does not establish how the finish performs against scratches or wear in everyday use, so the material description should not be taken as a tested durability claim. The listed 39.8 mm width, 47.5 mm other case dimension and 9.38 mm thickness are useful for comparing the watch with a piece you already wear. They cannot establish how WSSA0039 will sit on a particular wrist: wrist shape, strap fit and personal preference matter, and no wear test is available here. Likewise, Cartier’s 10-bar rating is a stated water-resistance specification, not a finding about the condition of an individual watch. For a used example, ask the seller about its service history and current water-resistance status.
