The Casio Back to the Future anniversary watch is part of the CA-500WEBF family, a film-inspired take on Casio’s CA-500 calculator watch. Casio’s European model number is CA-500WEBF-1AER; the international listing uses CA-500WEBF-1A, while Japan’s launch model is CA-500WEBF-1AJR. The “OUTATIME” reference describes its design, not its official model name.
What is the Casio Back to the Future watch called?
It is the Casio CA-500WEBF collaboration, created for the film’s 40th anniversary. The suffix differs by market: Casio identifies the European watch as CA-500WEBF-1AER and its international version as CA-500WEBF-1A. Japanese coverage identifies the launch model as CA-500WEBF-1AJR. Those are regional identifiers for the collaboration, not separate film watches. Casio’s international product page and European announcement document the regional naming.
Casio describes the design as based on its CA-500 calculator watch and inspired by the DeLorean. It does not describe the watch as an exact replica of a screen-used prop. “OUTATIME,” the vanity-plate reference associated with the car, is a design cue rather than the model name. Casio’s 14 October 2025 announcement identifies the collaboration and its inspiration.
What makes the anniversary edition different?
The CA-500WEBF retains the calculator-watch format and adds film-specific details rather than changing the product into a different kind of watch.

What functions and specifications are reported?

How does it compare with the standard Casio CA-500?
The collaboration and standard CA-500 share the calculator-watch concept. The documented distinction is the anniversary edition’s licensed film styling and special packaging; the evidence does not establish a second Back to the Future Casio model for comparison.

Search for the full CA-500WEBF model code and verify that the listing photographs and description show the film-specific details and packaging. A listing for a standard CA-500 is not evidence that it includes the Back to the Future design. Availability, seller reliability, current prices, and marketplace listings can change; none of the cited launch sources verifies current inventory or a particular seller.
