What is the 6900 line celebrating?
The anniversary is for the G-SHOCK 6900 line, not for the DW-6900TR-9 as a standalone model. Casio dates the line’s debut to February 1995. Its 2025 anniversary collection revisits the colors of the DW-6900H, which Casio identifies as the line’s first color-variation model. What makes the anniversary design different?
The DW-6900TR-9 keeps the line’s round case, three circular display graphics and prominent front button. Casio highlights several anniversary details shared by the collection:
- A mirror-finish metal front button with an etched G mark.
- A backlight display that shows “SINCE 1995” when illuminated.
- A case-back engraving reading “SHOCK RESIST,” surrounded by 30 stars.
- Special packaging inspired by the DW-6900H packaging.
Casio also says key resin components, including the bezel and band, use bio-based resin made from renewable organic resources. That is a materials description from Casio, not a quantified assessment of the watch’s environmental impact.

Casio’s India collection page lists these functions for the lineup: shock resistance, 20-bar water resistance, a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, multifunction alarm, flash alert and LED Super Illuminator backlight. Because those specifications come from a regional Casio page, check the product listing for your market to confirm the exact specification and regional configuration.
Is it a numbered limited edition, and what does it cost?
Casio’s official materials establish that the DW-6900TR models are a special 30th-anniversary collection, but they do not state a production quantity or identify the DW-6900TR-9 as a numbered limited edition. The word “limited” in a listing or article should not be taken as evidence of a specific run size unless the seller provides reliable documentation.
Casio’s January 29, 2025 Japanese announcement listed a tax-included suggested retail price of ¥16,500 for the black DW-6900TR-1 at its February 21, 2025 release. That figure applies to that reference and Japanese launch pricing; it does not establish the yellow model’s price, a price in another country, or today’s resale value.
