The G-SHOCK Master of G name covers three watches built around different jobs: the Mudmaster GWG-1000 for demanding land environments, the Gravitymaster GWR-B1000 for aviation-oriented durability and flight logging, and the Frogman GWF-A1000 for diving. They are not equivalent versions of one watch. Compare the exact model and its regional specification page before choosing; the “2021” framing does not mean all three launched that year.
How the three Master of G models differ
| Model | Designed around | Standout functions and construction | Water-resistance statement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mudmaster GWG-1000 | Rugged land use | Compass, altimeter, barometer and thermometer; shock-, vibration- and mud-resistant construction | Casio lists 200-meter water resistance |
| Gravitymaster GWR-B1000 | Aviation-oriented durability and timekeeping | Triple G Resist for shock, centrifugal force and vibration; Flight Log; Bluetooth smartphone link | Casio lists 200-meter water resistance |
| Frogman GWF-A1000 | Diving | Dive-time and surface-interval functions; analogue display; Bluetooth and radio-controlled time adjustment | Casio describes ISO-standard 200-meter diving water resistance |
These are manufacturer-listed features, not results from standardized comparative or independent testing. The water-resistance wording is model-specific and should not be treated as evidence of performance beyond Casio’s stated rating.

Mudmaster GWG-1000: land and environmental readings
Casio’s US product page describes the GWG-1000 as a Mudmaster with shock-, vibration- and mud-resistant construction. Its sensor package includes a compass, altimeter, barometer and thermometer, making it the most directly oriented of these three models toward land navigation and environmental readings. It also has Tough Solar power and Multi Band 6 radio-controlled timekeeping. Casio US GWG-1000 specifications.
The US page gives dimensions of 56.7 × 56.1 × 18 mm and a weight of 119 g. Those figures belong to the listed GWG-1000 product and should not be assumed to cover every Mudmaster variant.

Casio describes the GWR-B1000 as using a carbon monocoque case and a layered carbon bezel made from 52 carbon-sheet layers. Its Triple G Resist construction is intended to resist shock, centrifugal force and vibration. The listed features also include rust-resistant materials, Tough Solar, Multi Band 6, Bluetooth smartphone linking and Flight Log. Casio G-SHOCK GWR-B1000 family specifications.
Casio Singapore lists dimensions of 46.2 × 46.4 × 16.9 mm and a weight of 72 g for the GWR-B1000-1A1. These are figures for that regional listing, not a universal specification for every GWR-B1000 variant. The Singapore page lists 200-meter water resistance. Frogman GWF-A1000: dive timing and water resistance
The GWF-A1000 is the first Frogman with an analogue display, according to Casio. Its asymmetrical display accompanies dive-time and surface-interval functions. Casio also lists Bluetooth and radio-controlled time adjustment, Tough Solar, a carbon monocoque case, a fluoroelastomer band, and sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The manufacturer describes its water resistance as ISO-standard 200-meter diving water resistance. Casio G-SHOCK Europe GWF-A1000 family page and Casio international GWF-A1000-1A product page.
What the specifications mean when choosing
- Choose by primary activity. The Mudmaster’s sensors address land-oriented readings; Gravitymaster’s resistance features and Flight Log serve its aviation-oriented role; Frogman centers on dive timing and its stated diving water-resistance rating.
- Compare the exact reference. Family names cover variants and regional product pages may differ. Confirm the model code and market page for dimensions, weight and other details before purchase.
- Keep the ratings in context. Casio lists 200-meter water resistance for the GWG-1000 and GWR-B1000. For the GWF-A1000, Casio specifically describes ISO-standard 200-meter diving water resistance. These phrases are not interchangeable guarantees of real-world performance.
- Treat technology descriptions as specifications. The cited pages describe manufacturer features; they do not establish how the watches compare in independent tests or under every field condition.
Does “2021” mean all three launched that year?
No. The year in the original title is a framing date, not a common launch date for these three models. Casio’s identity page places the GWF-A1000 in 2020 and identifies it as the first analogue Frogman. The reviewed Casio pages do not establish a complete 2021 launch chronology for all three families, so a shared 2021 launch should not be inferred. Casio G-SHOCK identity and history page.
