Casio announced 300 pieces worldwide. Alongside its Bruce Lee and Jeet Kune Do design details, it offers GPS and radio time calibration, Bluetooth connectivity, solar charging, and 200-meter water resistance. Its 54.7 mm-wide case is substantial, so the specifications matter as much as the collector appeal.
What is the Bruce Lee MR-G?
It is a Bruce Lee collaboration in Casio’s premium G-Shock MR-G line. Casio’s February 2020 announcement calls the model MRG-G2000BL; the company’s MR-G model history lists it as MRG-G2000BL-9A in March 2020. A Casio connected-model guide writes the reference without hyphens as MRGG2000BL-9A. These spellings identify the same watch, not separate versions. How limited was the edition?
Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced a worldwide edition of 300 pieces on February 20, 2020. The company described it as a collaboration model featuring Bruce Lee, who would have turned 80 that year. The 300-piece figure is the announced production quantity, not a count of watches currently available. Casio’s model-history page places the reference in March 2020. Casio’s release and MR-G model history give those details.
What do the Bruce Lee design details mean?
The black-and-yellow color scheme recalls the tracksuit Lee wore in his last released film, while yellow and red draw on the Jeet Kune Do emblem. Casio says the bezel is engraved with “Using no way as a way, having no limitation as limitation.” The case back carries the same phrase in Chinese; the dial features Lee’s signature alongside 龍, meaning “dragon.” These are specific design references rather than just a name on the dial. Casio’s announcement describes the motifs and engravings.

What can the watch do?
The feature set combines low-maintenance timekeeping with connected and timing functions. Casio’s specifications list:
- Tough Solar charging
- GPS and radio time calibration
- Bluetooth low energy connectivity
- World time
- Stopwatch and countdown timer
- Shock resistance and ISO 764-compliant magnetic resistance
- 200-meter water resistance
Radio time reception is automatic up to six times a day, or up to five times a day in China. Casio describes GPS reception as automatic when the watch recognizes that signals are available. Its approximate 23-month operating figure applies after a full charge with power-saving mode enabled; it is a qualified manufacturer specification, not a guaranteed duration for every wearer or use pattern. Casio’s specifications and operating notes provide these conditions.

How large is it, and is it practical to wear?
Casio gives the case dimensions as 54.7 × 49.8 × 16.9 mm and the approximate weight as 139 g. The watch’s width and thickness make it a large, prominent choice; buyers who prefer compact or low-profile watches should consider those measurements against their wrist and usual wear. Its 200-meter water-resistance rating is a manufacturer specification, but it does not remove the need to follow the watch’s operating and maintenance guidance. Casio’s release lists the dimensions, weight, and rating.
