Casio announced it on October 21, 2025, and scheduled its Japan release for November 8, 2025. The company specifies shock resistance and 20-bar water resistance—equivalent to 200 meters in Casio’s product-page wording—alongside core digital-watch functions in a compact resin design. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.
What is the Casio ring G-SHOCK?
The DWN-5600 is a miniature digital watch styled after the square-faced 5600-series G-SHOCK. Its case measures 23.4 × 20 × 7.5 mm. Casio describes it as about one-tenth the size of a regular G-SHOCK, comparing it with the DW-5600UE in its Japanese announcement. The band is resin and adjusts through a series of holes, so the watch can be fitted around a finger.
Casio announced three color variants: black DWN-5600-1, red DWN-5600-4 and yellow DWN-5600-9. Its Japan announcement listed a suggested retail price of ¥14,300 including tax at launch; that is historical Japan pricing, not a current or worldwide price. Casio’s October 21, 2025 announcement
Is the G-SHOCK ring watch shock resistant?
Yes. Casio specifies the DWN-5600 as shock resistant. Its small size does not make it the same product as Casio’s earlier CRW-001 ring watch: the DWN-5600 is explicitly presented as a G-SHOCK with shock-resistant construction. Casio has not provided an independent durability test in the cited product materials, so the claim should be understood as the manufacturer’s specification.

Casio says the case is made of glass-fiber-reinforced resin, with a urethane bezel covering the case. The button, buckle and case back are stainless steel. The company describes a high-density module layout and miniature battery, and says key resin components in the bezel and band use bio-based resin. Its product-planning interview explains that miniaturization made sealing the side buttons a particular engineering challenge; the described design uses two gaskets and an E-ring to retain each button.
