The Casio G-Shock Rangeman GPR-B1000-1 is a GPS-capable outdoor watch built around route logging, Backtrack guidance, and a broad sensor set—not a small everyday timepiece. Casio rates GPS operation at about 33 hours in intermittent NORMAL mode or 20 hours in continuous HIGH RATE mode, and combines wireless charging with solar assistance. Its substantial 60.3 × 57.7 × 20.2 mm case and approximate 142 g weight are central buying considerations. The available sources establish its specifications and 2018 U.S. launch price, but not current stock or resale value.
What the GPR-B1000-1 is designed to do
The GPR-B1000-1 is part of Casio’s G-Shock Rangeman series. Its defining feature is GPS navigation on the watch: Casio says it collects satellite location data to show a current position along a route or the bearing to a destination in real time. That describes position and bearing guidance; it does not establish that the watch provides detailed map display or turn-by-turn directions.
GPS can record tracks automatically at four-second or one-minute intervals, and the watch can save up to 20 tracks. Backtrack uses recorded track data to guide the wearer toward the starting point. Point Memory stores up to 60 records, each with date and time, latitude and longitude, altitude, atmospheric pressure, and temperature. These functions make the watch most relevant to outdoor users who want location records and a return-direction feature available from the watch itself.
GPS battery life and charging
Casio’s current official product page gives approximate GPS operating times, not independently measured results. Actual runtime in a particular outing is not established by those figures.

Casio separately says GPS navigation can run for approximately 33 hours after about five hours of wireless charging. Wireless charging is the stated primary charging method for GPS use. Solar charging can help recover GPS functionality after the battery is depleted: Casio estimates about one hour of GPS functions after approximately four hours of solar charging at 50,000 lux. That is a specified bright-light condition, not a promise of uninterrupted GPS operation from solar power alone. Solar also maintains the time display regardless of GPS function status.
Outdoor sensors and construction
The official specification lists a digital compass, barometer, altimeter, and thermometer alongside GPS. The watch also includes Bluetooth Low Energy communication and smartphone-linked functions, as well as world time, tide and moon data, alarms, a stopwatch, and a countdown timer. The specifications do not by themselves establish app compatibility today or the detail and accuracy of any navigation display.

How large is the Rangeman GPR-B1000-1?
Casio lists dimensions of 60.3 × 57.7 × 20.2 mm and an approximate weight of 142 g. Those figures make it a physically substantial watch, so wrist fit, sleeve clearance, and comfort during extended wear deserve attention before buying. This is a specification-based consideration, not a hands-on comfort assessment.

Price, availability, and buying checks
Casio America announced the black GPRB1000-1 and olive GPRB1000-1B at a U.S. launch price of $800 on March 29, 2018. That is historical launch pricing, not evidence of today’s retail price, resale value, or availability. Current stock and regional pricing have not been established.
If considering a used or remaining-stock example, verify the exact model and condition with the seller, and check what is included—especially the charging equipment and band condition. Casio documents wireless charging and a carbon-fiber insert band, but no particular third-party charger or replacement band is confirmed compatible here; check compatibility with the GPR-B1000-1 before ordering. Current app support, service and parts availability, and seller authorization also require direct verification.

Who should consider it?
The GPR-B1000-1 is best suited to a buyer who specifically values GPS track logging, saved points, and Backtrack guidance on a rugged watch, and who is comfortable with a large, heavy case. Its dual charging approach and Casio-rated GPS endurance are useful specifications to weigh against the type and length of outings planned.
It is a harder fit for someone prioritizing a compact watch, or for a buyer who needs confirmed current availability, a dependable market price, verified app support, or independently tested navigation and battery performance before deciding.
