Casio lists a 51.6 × 51.5 × 13.4 mm case, 74 g weight, 100-meter water resistance and low-temperature resistance to −10°C. Those are manufacturer specifications—not independent findings about comfort, sensor accuracy or durability.
What is the PRG-600YB-2?
Casio identifies the PRG-600YB-2 as part of the PRG-600/650 Triple Sensor family. It pairs analog hands with a digital display and uses a navy cloth band with a stainless-steel and resin case and bezel. Casio Canada describes large Arabic numeral hour markers, a bold stainless-steel bezel and an STN LCD. Casio Malaysia’s product page and Casio Canada’s product page confirm the model and published details.
What can the Casio Pro Trek PRG-600YB-2 do?
Casio lists Tough Solar power and Triple Sensor functions: digital compass, altimeter, barometer and thermometer. Its product page also lists 29 world-time zones, a stopwatch, timer, five daily alarms and double LED illumination. The published specifications do not establish radio time reception, so do not assume the watch can synchronize to a radio time signal.
Altimeter
The manufacturer lists a display range of −700 to 10,000 m (−2,300 to 32,800 ft), with measurement units of 1 m (5 ft). The watch can store up to 30 manual records and automatically log high and low altitude plus cumulative ascent and descent. These figures describe the stated range and display units; they are not a guarantee of measurement accuracy.

- Super LED; 1/100 Sec Stopwatch; 1/10 Sec Countdown Timer; Full Auto Calendar
- Quartz Movement
- Case Diameter: 47.9mm

Barometer
The stated display range is 260 to 1,100 hPa (7.65 to 32.45 inHg). Casio lists a pressure-tendency graph and pressure-change alarm. A pressure reading can help track changing conditions, but the published features alone do not establish how accurately this watch predicts weather.
Compass and thermometer
The compass covers 16 directions and 0°–359°, with a 1° measurement unit and 60 seconds of continuous measurement per reading. The thermometer’s display range is −10°C to 60°C (14°F to 140°F), with 0.1°C display units. A measurement increment or display range should not be mistaken for accuracy.

How large is it, and how might it wear?
Casio lists dimensions of 51.6 × 51.5 × 13.4 mm and a weight of 74 g. That makes it a substantial watch on paper; whether it suits your wrist is personal, and the available specifications do not establish comfort in use. Check the dimensions against a watch you already wear or try it on if possible. The navy cloth band is a defining part of the exact model, but the available product information does not state band dimensions or confirm compatibility with replacement bands.
What do the water and temperature ratings mean?
Casio describes the watch as water resistant to 100 meters and resistant to low temperatures down to −10°C (14°F). These are manufacturer ratings, not independent durability tests. They do not by themselves establish suitability for every water activity or replace proper care; follow Casio’s guidance for the specific watch and its condition.

How should you use the sensors and find the right manual?
Sensor readings depend on setup and interpretation. Casio’s operation guide for Module 5673 covers solar charging, compass calibration, altitude measurement, barometric pressure, temperature and time functions. The exact-model product page does not confirm that the PRG-600YB-2 uses that module. Check the module number on your own watch before following a manual, then use the matching Casio guide. The Module 5673 operation guide explains pressure-sensor-based relative altitude measurement and compass calibration; it should not be treated as evidence of independent field accuracy.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who should consider this watch?
The PRG-600YB-2 is worth considering if you want solar power, analog hands alongside digital information, and all four listed sensors in a conspicuous outdoor-watch design. Its published feature set is broader than a simple time-and-compass watch, but the available specifications do not establish that its sensors outperform alternatives.
