The Casio PRO TREK PRW-6000 is a 2014 analog-digital outdoor watch built around Triple Sensor Ver. 3 and Casio’s Smart Access operation system. The family includes distinct variants: for example, the PRW-6000Y-1A has a carbon-fiber-and-resin band and weighs 73 g, while the PRW-6000YT-1B has a titanium band and weighs 110 g. Check the full reference number before relying on a specification or buying a watch.
What is the Casio PRO TREK PRW-6000?
Casio’s PRO TREK history places the PRW-6000 in 2014 and describes it as an “Analog-digital combination with built-in Triple Sensor Ver. 3.” The model pairs conventional watch hands with a digital display and outdoor sensor functions. Smart Access is part of Casio’s description of the model’s operating approach; it does not mean every PRW-6000 suffix has identical materials or specifications.
Casio describes Triple Sensor Ver. 3 as having a magnetic sensor 95% smaller than its predecessor and a pressure sensor with enhanced accuracy. The same history cites 1-meter altitude measurements and continuous compass-bearing measurements at 60-second intervals. These are manufacturer descriptions of sensor design and measurement capability, not independent field-accuracy results. Casio PRO TREK history
What do the PRW-6000Y-1A and PRW-6000YT-1B specifications show?
Casio’s regional product pages document the following differences and shared specifications. They describe particular reference numbers; do not assume every PRW-6000 variant is the same.

Values and materials above are listed on the respective Casio regional pages: PRW-6000Y-1A specifications and PRW-6000YT-1B specifications. Radio signal reception depends on regional coverage and conditions; the presence of Multi Band 6 does not guarantee calibration in every location.
What sensor ranges and operating figures are listed?
The PRW-6000YT-1B regional page gives specific display ranges: an altimeter range of −700 to 10,000 m, barometer display range of 260 to 1,100 hPa, compass readings from 0 to 359 degrees, and thermometer range of −10°C to 60°C. These are specifications for that listed variant, not a substitute for checking another suffix’s own documentation.

For the PRW-6000Y-1A, Casio lists an approximate operating duration of six months on a rechargeable battery without light exposure after charging. It also lists up to 23 months when fully charged, stored in total darkness, and using power saving. The same page states timekeeping accuracy of ±15 seconds per month excluding signal calibration. These figures are manufacturer specifications under the stated conditions, not measured results for an individual watch. Casio PRW-6000Y-1A specifications
How to identify the right PRW-6000 variant
- Read the full reference number. Look for the complete suffix, such as PRW-6000Y-1A or PRW-6000YT-1B, on the watch, packaging, or seller’s listing.
- Match the band and weight. The two official examples differ in band material and listed weight, despite sharing the same listed dimensions.
- Check the regional specification page. Confirm the sensor ranges, materials, water resistance, and other details against the exact reference number rather than the family name alone.
- For a used watch, assess its condition and service history. The specification sheet does not establish the condition, battery or solar-charging performance, or service needs of a particular used example.
- Confirm radio reception for your location. Multi Band 6 is listed for the cited variants, but regional signal availability matters in practical use.
Where to find the correct PRW-6000 manual
Use the module number printed on the back of the watch when looking for its operation guide. A specialist reference associates the PRW-6000 with module 5365; Casio’s retrieved operation-guide page for module 5673 is for a different module and should not be treated as the PRW-6000 manual. Start from Casio Watch Support and search using the module number from your watch. The module identification is also listed by this specialist PRW-6000 reference.

Does the 2014 date tell you whether it is currently available?
No. The 2014 date is Casio’s history chronology entry for the model, not evidence of present-day retail stock, a current price, or a particular market’s availability. The official regional pages identify specifications for the variants shown, but they do not establish current inventory or the condition of watches offered by sellers.
