The C60 Trident Pro 300 is Christopher Ward’s slimmer 300-meter dive watch, introduced in August 2022 as an alternative to the thicker C60 Trident Pro 600. The collection was offered in 38 mm, 40 mm and 42 mm case sizes, with launch-era thicknesses ranging from 11 mm to 11.5 mm. The choice is mainly about case proportions, dial and strap configuration, and whether you need the Pro 600’s higher water-resistance rating.
What changed with the C60 Trident Pro 300?
Christopher Ward developed the Pro 300 after seeking feedback from members of its forum, according to the official owner handbook. The handbook describes the Trident dive-watch range as “sacrosanct to Christopher Ward” and says the consultation helped shape the Pro 300. Its foreword is signed by Mike France, CEO and co-founder, who writes: “Your Christopher Ward watch has been designed in Britain and engineered in Switzerland by highly talented craftspeople.”

Fratello’s August 25, 2022 launch report describes the Pro 300 as the slimmer sibling to the C60 Trident Pro 600. For the 40 mm version, the report gives a 1.65 mm reduction in thickness compared with the Pro 600; the manufacturer handbook likewise describes the Pro 300 as 1.65 mm slimmer, depending on case size. The thinner profile comes with a lower water-resistance rating than the Pro 600, while retaining a substantial 300-meter rating.
How do the three case sizes compare?
The owner handbook lists 38 mm, 40 mm and 42 mm case diameters. Thickness and lug-to-lug measurements below are from Fratello’s 2022 launch report; these are published dimensions, not a wrist-fit recommendation.

| Case diameter | Thickness | Lug to lug |
|---|---|---|
| 38 mm | 11 mm | 45 mm |
| 40 mm | 11.3 mm | 47.46 mm |
| 42 mm | 11.5 mm | 49.32 mm |
The measurements give a useful starting point for comparing proportions: diameter alone does not describe how much wrist space a watch occupies, so consider lug-to-lug length alongside thickness. The cited sources do not establish a best size for a particular wrist measurement.
What are the dial and bezel options?
Fratello’s launch coverage notes a date display moved from 3 o’clock to 6 o’clock, enlarged hour markers, and a dial that omits the brand name while retaining Christopher Ward’s twin-flag logo. It also describes color accents at the seconds-hand tip and a white-dial option paired with a black bezel.
The bezel has two components: a rotating ceramic outer insert with the dive scale and a fixed steel inner minute ring. The rotating insert is unidirectional, according to the owner handbook. These are details from launch coverage and manufacturer specifications, rather than an assessment of how the watch looks or performs in person.
Which strap or bracelet configurations were offered?
At launch, Fratello reported four attachment choices: an Oyster-style steel bracelet, hybrid rubber-and-fabric strap, full-rubber strap and #tide strap. The launch report says they used a quick-release system. Christopher Ward’s handbook explains the quick-release pins and notes that the bracelet has five micro-adjustment positions, providing up to 10 mm of extension.

Pro 300 or Pro 600: which difference matters?
The documented trade-off is a slimmer case on the Pro 300 versus the higher water-resistance rating of the Pro 600. Both are part of the Trident dive-watch range, but the available sources do not provide a full, version-by-version Pro 600 specification comparison.
| Model | Documented water resistance | Documented thickness comparison |
|---|---|---|
| C60 Trident Pro 300 | 300 meters, per Christopher Ward’s owner handbook | For the 40 mm version, 1.65 mm thinner than the Pro 600, per Fratello’s 2022 report |
| C60 Trident Pro 600 | 600 meters, as identified in the model name and launch comparison | Absolute thickness by size is not stated in the cited sources |
For ordinary wear, the sources do not suggest that the Pro 300 is inherently inadequate; its rating is simply lower than the Pro 600’s. Neither model’s rating should be treated as a guarantee for a particular dive or set of conditions. Christopher Ward says water resistance can be affected by variables including movement, impacts and temperature changes, and instructs owners to fully tighten the screw-down crown before water use.
