The Citizen Brycen AW0060-54H is a discontinued, sold-out 44 mm Eco-Drive watch with a gray dial, Super Titanium case and bracelet, mineral crystal, and day/date display. Its strongest on-paper appeal is the combination of a light-powered movement and a titanium build; the trade-offs include a large case, a mineral crystal, and the uncertainty that comes with buying a discontinued watch. Citizen publishes specifications and material claims, but no verified hands-on measurements establish its accuracy, comfort, lume, or long-term durability.
What is the Citizen AW0060-54H?
Citizen identifies the AW0060-54H as a Brycen model. Its US product page marks it discontinued and sold out, and no current official retail price is listed. That status makes the exact reference important when shopping: AW0060-54H is the charcoal-gray-dial version, while the related AW0060-54A has a silver-tone dial. Citizen’s AW0060-54H listing and AW0060-54A listing show the distinct references.
What are its specifications?
| Specification | Citizen-listed detail |
|---|---|
| Model | Brycen AW0060-54H |
| Dial | Gray/charcoal |
| Case width | 44 mm |
| Lug width | 22 mm |
| Case and bracelet | Super Titanium; silver-tone finish |
| Crystal | Mineral |
| Movement | J800 Eco-Drive, powered by light |
| Display and calendar | Three hands; day and date |
| Clasp | Fold-over clasp with push buttons |
| Water resistance | WR100 / 10 bar / 333 ft |
These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements of fit or performance. The 44 mm case width is a meaningful sizing consideration, but it cannot establish how large the watch will feel on a particular wrist. The 22 mm lug width can help filter strap searches, but does not confirm that an aftermarket strap or bracelet end link will fit.
How does Eco-Drive work, and does it need a battery?
The J800 is Citizen’s light-powered Eco-Drive movement. Citizen says the watch is powered by light and eliminates the need to replace watch batteries. The AW0060-54H product listing does not state a full-charge running time or an accuracy figure, so neither should be inferred from the Eco-Drive label alone.

What does Super Titanium mean for this watch?
Citizen describes Super Titanium as titanium treated with its Duratect surface-hardening technology. Citizen’s technology pages claim the material is about 40% lighter and more than five times harder than stainless steel; these are manufacturer comparisons, not independent tests of this particular watch. See Citizen US’s Super Titanium overview and Citizen’s global material explanation.
The metal claims do not make the mineral crystal scratch-proof. The crystal remains a practical trade-off: it is mineral rather than a stated scratch-proof surface, and Citizen’s hardness comparison concerns the titanium material, not the crystal. Citizen also cautions that not all Super Titanium models are resistant to metal or nickel allergies. Its global page notes bracelet pins may tarnish and recommends regular cleaning.

Is the AW0060-54H suitable for swimming?
Citizen rates it WR100, 10 bar, or 333 feet, and lists swimming, showering, and snorkeling among suitable activities. That rating describes the model specification; it does not establish the current seal condition of a used or old-stock example. For a pre-owned watch, water resistance should be treated as a condition question rather than assumed from the original rating.
What should you check before buying one?
Since Citizen lists the reference as discontinued and sold out, third-party availability may involve used watches, old stock, or another AW0060 dial suffix. No current third-party inventory, price, or seller quality is established here. Before purchasing, confirm the listing and seller directly:

- Check the full reference: AW0060-54H, not the silver-dial AW0060-54A or another suffix.
- Ask whether it is new old stock or used, and inspect the case, crystal, bracelet, and clasp condition.
- Confirm that the bracelet has the links needed for the intended wrist size.
- Ask whether the watch is operating and whether its water resistance has been tested recently; the factory rating alone cannot verify a used watch’s seals.
- Review the seller’s return terms and get written clarification about any warranty and who honors it.
Can you change the bracelet or find instructions?
The 22 mm lug width is a starting point for finding straps, not a guarantee of exact fit. Check connector shape, strap thickness, material, and model compatibility before ordering a replacement. For setting help, Citizen directs owners to search by model or caliber number, or follow the setting-instruction link on the product page. Search for AW0060-54H or J800 through Citizen’s setting-instruction lookup.

On paper, the AW0060-54H is a straightforward feature set: a large 44 mm gray-dial watch, light-powered J800 movement, day/date, Super Titanium case and bracelet, and a 100 m water-resistance rating. Its appeal depends on wanting that combination and being comfortable buying a discontinued model. The available official information does not establish real-world accuracy, wrist comfort, lume performance, bracelet feel, or the condition of any individual example.
