The Citizen Promaster Mechanical Diver 200m NB6004 is an automatic titanium dive-watch family with a stated 200 m water-resistance rating and a manufacturer-rated 42-hour power reserve. Its 46 mm case width is substantial on paper, while its Cal. 9051 movement is specified to resist magnetic fields at 16,000 A/m. The available evidence is Citizen’s product and launch documentation—not hands-on testing—so this review explains what those specifications establish and what they cannot tell you about fit or real-world performance.
Which NB6004 reference is this?
NB6004 refers to a family, not one interchangeable configuration. Citizen’s U.S. page covers the NB6004-83E on a Super Titanium bracelet; Citizen Japan’s launch announcement and catalog describe the NB6004-08E with a urethane (rubber) band. Band, dimensions, and price details below are tied to the suffix for which Citizen published them.
| Reference | Band and clasp | Published dimensions | Price information |
|---|---|---|---|
| NB6004-83E | Super Titanium bracelet; fold-over clasp with push buttons, according to Citizen U.S. | 46 mm case width; 24 mm lug width, according to Citizen U.S. | No current price established here. |
| NB6004-08E | Urethane band plus extension band, according to Citizen Japan. | 46.0 mm wide and 15.3 mm thick, according to Citizen Japan’s March 2021 launch specifications. | ¥132,000 including tax was the planned Japanese launch price for May 2021, not a current quote. |

How the automatic movement works—and what its figures mean
Cal. 9051 and power reserve
Both references use Citizen Cal. 9051, an automatic movement that can also be wound by hand. Citizen Japan specifies a calendar, stop-seconds function, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 24 jewels, and an approximate 42-hour reserve at full wind for the NB6004-08E. The U.S. product page also lists a 42-hour reserve for the NB6004-83E. That reserve is a manufacturer specification, not an independently measured runtime.

Accuracy specification
Citizen lists an average rate range of -10 to +20 seconds per day for Cal. 9051. This is the published specification; it is not a report of measured accuracy for an individual watch or a guarantee of its rate in every position, temperature, or state of wind. Source: Citizen Japan.
Magnetic resistance: an unusual headline feature
Citizen Japan identifies the NB6004-08E as JIS Class 2 antimagnetic. Citizen’s U.S. page gives 16,000 A/m for the NB6004-83E, and Citizen Philippines describes the watch as maintaining performance at 1 cm from a device emitting a 16,000 A/m magnetic field. These are manufacturer claims and should be read with their stated conditions; they are not assurance against every magnetic source or exposure.

Citizen says Cal. 9051 uses anti-magnetic materials for the balance spring and surrounding components to increase the watch’s overall magnetic resistance. This movement-level design feature helps explain the rating, but it does not make the watch immune to magnetism. Sources: Citizen Japan, Citizen U.S., and Citizen Philippines.
What Citizen’s 200 m diver claim establishes
Citizen describes the NB6004-08E as ISO-compliant for 200 m diving water resistance; its collection PDF identifies it as an ISO Diver 200 m watch. The U.S. page lists the NB6004-83E at 200 m/20 bar and associates it with scuba diving. Those are Citizen’s published claims. No independent certificate, laboratory result, or field dive report is available here, so the documentation alone does not independently verify compliance or performance underwater.

Case, crystal, and documented design details
The case width is 46 mm on both cited references. For the NB6004-08E, Citizen Japan additionally specifies 15.3 mm thickness; Citizen U.S. lists 24 mm lug width for the NB6004-83E. These figures provide a useful starting point for comparing the watch with your wrist and other watches, but they cannot predict how it will feel on your wrist.

- Silver-Tone Stainless Steel Case
- Dual Spherical Mineral Crystal
- 200M Water Resistant
Citizen describes a Super Titanium case on the NB6004-08E and Super Titanium case and bracelet on the NB6004-83E. The Japanese launch material specifies a spherical sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, while the U.S. page calls its crystal dual spherical sapphire. Citizen also highlights a fine pyramid or stud-like pattern on the bezel and dial, angled bezel tabs intended to improve grip, luminous hands and markers, and a screw-lock crown and unidirectional bezel in the Japanese collection specification. These are documented features, not observations from a handling or legibility test.

Who should consider the NB6004?
- Consider it if you want a mechanical automatic diver with a titanium construction, a published 200 m rating, and a notably strong stated antimagnetic specification.
- Check fit carefully if you prefer smaller or thinner watches: the published width is 46 mm, and the 08E is listed at 15.3 mm thick. Actual wrist feel is not established by the specifications.
- Choose by exact reference if the band matters: 83E is the documented bracelet option, while 08E is the documented urethane-strap option.
- Compare movement type deliberately if deciding between this mechanical Promaster and a Citizen Eco-Drive. The NB6004 needs an automatic movement’s winding and reserve considerations; available information does not establish a direct performance or value winner over any particular Eco-Drive model.
Price, availability, and warranty caveats
The ¥132,000 including-tax figure belongs to the NB6004-08E’s planned May 2021 Japanese launch. It should not be treated as a current price, or as a price for the NB6004-83E in another market. Current prices and stock vary by region and seller and are not established here.
Citizen U.S. lists a five-year limited warranty for the NB6004-83E; warranty terms depend on region and should be confirmed with Citizen for the market where you are buying. Citizen Canada’s page reports 147 g, but that regional figure is not established for the U.S. listing and is not used here. Sources: Citizen Japan and Citizen U.S..
