Citizen’s F150 is a light-powered Eco-Drive movement that can receive GPS satellite time and location information, then set the watch’s time and calendar. It also offers world time across 40 time zones. Those are manufacturer-described capabilities—not continuous location tracking, and not proof of a firsthand wearing or performance test.
What the F150 does—and what GPS reception means
Citizen describes Satellite Wave GPS as a way to receive position and time information from GPS satellites and adjust the watch’s time and calendar automatically. The F150 guide also explains how an owner can initiate satellite time-and-calendar reception. This is a time-setting function: the cited materials do not describe continuous tracking of the wearer’s location. Citizen’s F150 instruction guide and Satellite Wave technology overview outline the system.
World time and satellite reception coverage are related but different specifications. The F150 guide describes world time in 40 time zones. Citizen’s global overview describes Satellite Wave reception across 39 time zones and says reception coverage varies by model. For the specific US-listed CC3005-00E, Citizen lists 27 cities and 40 time zones for world time. These figures should not be collapsed into a single claim that every F150 reference has identical settings or reception coverage.
Accuracy, calendar, and power claims
- Accuracy: Citizen specifies average monthly accuracy of ±5 seconds when the F150 is not receiving a time signal. This is a manufacturer specification, not an independent timing test.
- Calendar: Citizen says the perpetual calendar needs no monthly or leap-year date correction through February 28, 2100.
- Power reserve claim: A 2015 Citizen global announcement states up to seven years of continuous operation on a full charge with power-save active. That figure is conditional on the stated power-save setting, not a general everyday-use runtime.
The accuracy and calendar statements appear in Citizen’s F150 instruction guide; the conditional seven-year figure is in Citizen’s 2015 announcement.

Sources: Citizen’s CC3005-00E product page and Citizen’s CC9015-54E announcement. The 43.5 mm and 13.1 mm measurements belong to the CC9015-54E; they should not be used as dimensions for the CC3005-00E or other F150 watches.
What to check before choosing a reference
- Fit: Find diameter, thickness, lug width, and case material for the exact reference. A caliber name does not establish case dimensions.
- Water resistance: Confirm the rating on the model’s own listing or instructions; the cited examples differ in how their ratings are presented.
- Functions and display: Check whether the reference adds chronograph, dual time, or other features rather than assuming all F150 watches share the same layout.
- Time-zone behavior: Consult the exact model’s instructions for world-time cities, reception behavior, and operation. The F150 abbreviated guide says its time-zone data is based on January 2015, so it should not be treated as confirmation that every later regional time-rule change is automatically recognized.
- Availability: The CC3005-00E is discontinued and sold out on Citizen’s US page. That status does not establish whether used examples or remaining stock are currently available elsewhere.
Citizen’s F150 abbreviated instruction provides operation details, including initiating reception and selecting world time.

Is this a hands-on review?
The manufacturer material establishes the movement’s stated features and the listed specifications of the named references, but it does not substantiate an independent assessment of comfort, legibility, timing in use, or satellite reception in everyday conditions. Accordingly, this is a model-conscious guide to what Citizen documents, not a firsthand wearing review. Citizen characterizes the technology as “a technology created especially for world travellers” in its Satellite Wave overview; that is the brand’s description rather than an independent verdict.
