The DOXA SUB 300T Sharkhunter is the black-dial, stainless-steel version of the brand’s current SUB 300T diver, reference 840.10.101.10. DOXA presents the modern SUB 300T as a tribute to its 1968 SUB 300T Conquistador. The Sharkhunter combines a 42.5 mm case, a date, a unidirectional bezel with a no-decompression dive-time calculator and a manufacturer-stated water resistance of 1,200 metres. DOXA’s US page displayed it at USD 2,190 on a steel bracelet when accessed; regional prices and availability can change.

What is the DOXA SUB 300T Sharkhunter?

Sharkhunter is one of the color variants in DOXA’s SUB 300T collection, not a separate watch family. DOXA lists the current version as reference 840.10.101.10 and offers it with a stainless-steel bracelet or a rubber strap. The brand’s collection page describes the SUB 300T range as an interpretation of the 1968 Conquistador and lists eight color options. DOXA’s SUB 300T collection

The name can be confusing because DOXA also sells a separate SUB 300 Sharkhunter. The shared “Sharkhunter” color name does not make the SUB 300 and SUB 300T interchangeable, and specifications should be checked against the exact model and reference.

How the SUB 300T relates to the Conquistador

DOXA says it launched the SUB 300T Conquistador in 1968 and calls it “the first general public diver’s watch equipped with a helium release valve.” That priority statement is the manufacturer’s historical claim; it is not independently established here. DOXA says the contemporary SUB 300T was presented in September 2019 as a tribute to the Conquistador. DOXA SUB 300T Sharkhunter

The heritage is reflected in the present collection’s use of the SUB 300T name and its helium release valve. It does not mean every detail of the modern watch is identical to the 1968 model.

SUB 300T Sharkhunter specifications

The following are specifications published by DOXA for the SUB 300T Sharkhunter, rather than measurements or test results from an independent review.

Specification DOXA’s published details
Reference 840.10.101.10
Case Stainless steel; 42.50 mm diameter, 44.50 mm length and 13.65 mm height
Movement Swiss mechanical automatic, self-winding; 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz)
Power reserve 38 hours
Functions Hours, minutes, seconds and date
Water resistance 120 ATM / 1,200 metres / 3,937 feet, as stated by DOXA
Bezel Unidirectional rotating bezel with a no-decompression dive-time calculator; the US product page describes its scale in feet

Crown and case back Screw-down
Helium release valve Present
Bracelet or strap Stainless-steel Beads of Rice bracelet with folding clasp and ratcheting wetsuit extension, or FKM rubber strap with folding clasp and extension
Lug width 20 mm

The 1,200-metre figure is DOXA’s stated water-resistance rating. It should not be read as a claim that this particular watch was independently tested to that depth for this article. A stated rating also does not establish that a watch is suitable for every dive or that any individual watch remains water-resistant indefinitely.

What is the difference between the SUB 300 and SUB 300T?

They are distinct DOXA product lines, and the brand lists Sharkhunter variants in both. The name alone is not enough to compare their dimensions, movement, depth rating, bezel or price. DOXA’s catalogue identifies the SUB 300 and SUB 300T as separate families, but the available product information does not establish a complete, like-for-like specification comparison. For a meaningful comparison, match the exact references and check case diameter and thickness, case length, stated water resistance, bezel scale and function, movement and power reserve, included bracelet or strap, price, warranty and availability in your region.

Price and strap options

When accessed, DOXA’s US Sharkhunter page displayed USD 2,190 for the stainless-steel configuration and also offered a rubber-strap variant. The European listing displayed EUR 1,990 for the steel version and EUR 1,950 for rubber. These are regional manufacturer-listed prices at access, not a market-wide street price; taxes, shipping, stock and prices may vary. US listing · European listing

DOXA’s US accessory page listed SUB 300T rubber straps at USD 290 without a clasp and USD 490 with a folding clasp, a bracelet at USD 560, and a folding clasp at USD 200 when accessed. These manufacturer-listed accessory prices are volatile. DOXA also lists SUB 300T-specific straps, a bracelet and a folding clasp with ratcheting wetsuit extension. DOXA accessories

The brand’s own SUB 300T accessories are the clearest fit because compatibility is specified. Although DOXA lists a 20 mm lug width, that measurement alone does not guarantee that a generic strap’s end shape or clasp will fit; verify width, end links, clasp compatibility and the exact reference before buying.

Is the SUB 300T Sharkhunter a good dive watch?

On paper, the Sharkhunter has several features associated with a purpose-built diver: a unidirectional bezel with dive-time markings, luminous inserts on dive-relevant markings, screw-down crown and case back, and a helium release valve. Its 42.5 mm case and 13.65 mm height are also useful to consider when judging whether its size suits your wrist. Those details and the 1,200-metre rating are DOXA’s published specifications, not an independent assessment of real-world performance.

Whether it is the right choice depends on fit, preferred strap, the usefulness of its bezel scale and your budget. A comparison with another diver should use exact references rather than relying on the Sharkhunter name or a headline depth figure.
