The Dumoreau DM02 earns its “dangerously round” description by carrying circles through nearly every part of its design: a broad rounded bezel, flowing case, twisted lugs and a two-piece dial built around concentric patterns. Its large Arabic numerals stay oriented around the dial instead of turning toward the wearer, so those between 4 and 8 o’clock appear upside down. Beneath the distinctive styling, it is a hand-wound, time-only watch with a Sellita SW210-1 movement.
What makes the DM02 so round?
The shape is more than a circular dial inside an ordinary case. The polished bezel and case have a soft, rounded profile, while the lugs twist away from the case in flowing curves. On the dial, concentric circles frame a brushed numeral band, extending the circular motif from the center to the perimeter.
The oversized radial Arabic numerals are the design’s most unusual trade-off. They follow the dial’s circumference rather than remaining upright for the wearer. Monochrome’s 2022 launch coverage notes that numerals from 4 through 8 o’clock are upside down. The result is a strong graphic composition, though readers who prioritize instant numeral legibility may find the layout less conventional than a standard dress watch.
What are the Dumoreau DM02’s specifications?
The 2022 launch-era specifications published by Monochrome describe the original DM02. The GPHG listing separately documents the Royal Blue reference; details should not automatically be assumed to apply to every later variant.

Monochrome reports that the original movement has 19 jewels and was adjusted to five positions, with stated accuracy of ±7 seconds per day. Those are launch-era specifications and claims, not a guarantee for every DM02 or an individual watch’s current timekeeping.
How do the dial variants differ?
For the original 2022 launch, Monochrome describes white/silver, salmon and black/gilt dials. The center and outer perimeter use concentric circles, while a brushed band carries the numerals. The silver and salmon versions have blued leaf hands; the black/gilt version has gold-colored hands. All are time-only, with central seconds.

Later names in Dumoreau’s catalog include Black, China Edition, Hong Kong Edition, MK2, Moss Green, Pérpetuel Gallery, Royal Blue, Salmon, White and Roman DM02 Emerald Green. A name alone does not establish that a later dial or edition has the same details as the original. For a specific version, check its named reference and published specifications rather than inferring them from the launch model.
What did the DM02 cost, and is it available?
Monochrome reported a USD 975 launch price in July 2022 for the original three-dial release, limited to 300 pieces across white/silver, salmon and black. That price and quantity describe the original launch, not all later DM02 variants.

Dumoreau’s catalog, accessed in 2026, displayed $1,250 for most listed DM02 variants and $1,800 for the China Edition. The captured listings were marked “Sold out.” This is a catalog snapshot, not proof that a watch cannot be found elsewhere or that secondary-market stock exists. The reviewed information does not establish why the displayed prices differ from the 2022 launch price.
The GPHG Royal Blue listing identifies reference DM02-RYB as a 100-piece limited series launched in April 2023, with a price including VAT of 1,235 CHF. That Swiss-franc figure and the catalog’s US-dollar amounts are different listings and should not be treated as directly interchangeable.

Will a replacement strap fit?
The original DM02 was specified with a 20 mm Italian leather strap. That gives a useful starting point when searching for a replacement, but it does not guarantee that every third-party strap or buckle will fit. Confirm the lug width, buckle attachment and the measurements of the particular watch before ordering.
