What exactly is the reviewed Neptunian?

Other Neptunian references have different dial and bracelet configurations, so their specifications and prices should not automatically be applied to this watch. How large does it wear?
At 44 mm across and 15.6 mm tall, the Neptunian is large and thick on paper, with a substantial presence rather than a discreet profile. Monochrome reviewer Brice Goulard described the watch as weighty but balanced and said its short lugs helped it sit more comfortably than the diameter might suggest. That is the reviewer’s wearing impression, not a guarantee of fit for every wrist. The bracelet and case mass are worth considering if you prefer a light or low-profile watch.

Movement and dive-watch construction
Monochrome describes Calibre 80 as based on the Sellita SW200-1 and gives a 38-hour reserve and 28,800-vph beat rate. Those published figures frame the movement as a conventional automatic rather than a long-reserve design; the cited material does not establish independent accuracy or endurance testing.
The combination of a 1,000 m / 100 ATM rating, screw-down crown, screwed caseback, helium escape valve and unidirectional ceramic bezel is the model’s defining dive-watch hardware. The rating is a stated specification, not a claim that the watch is appropriate for every kind of underwater activity or that an individual example remains sealed without maintenance. The reviewer also praised the finishing and bracelet, while noting that the water-resistance markings on the inner flange may be a design drawback for some buyers.

Edox Japan’s official page for the 80120-3NM-ODN describes an orange dial, 316L steel case and bracelet, EDOX80 automatic movement, 44 mm diameter, 15.6 mm thickness, ceramic unidirectional bezel and 100 ATM / 1,000 m rating. It specifies a 21 mm lug width. These are details for the orange reference, not confirmation of every construction detail or strap dimension on the reviewed 80120-3NM-BUIDN. - Consider it if you want a bold, highly water-resistant automatic dive watch with ceramic bezel hardware, a helium escape valve and a steel bracelet.
- Try it on first if 44 mm diameter, 15.6 mm thickness, or a weighty bracelet may be uncomfortable. Short lugs can help fit, but do not make the watch small.
