How do the designs and construction differ?
Kimmeridge: a more restrained, smaller-wrist design
Elliot Brown says the Kimmeridge was developed for smaller wrists, with a more restrained dial than its instrumentation-style designs. In its collection article, the company identifies a Swiss-made, five-jewel Ronda calibre 715 quartz movement, a shock-absorbing housing and a triple-sealed crown. It also says each watch undergoes three individual pressure tests, with the final test in water at 200m. These are manufacturer-published details; check the current specification for the reference you are considering.

Bloxworth: substantial crystal and diver styling
The brand’s engineering article describes a 3.2mm sapphire crystal on the Bloxworth, with anti-reflective coating on the underside. Its design account for the Bloxworth Heritage Diver discusses a 40mm case target, box crystal, ceramic bezel insert and textured dial. Those design notes are model-specific and should not be substituted for the dimensions and materials listed for a current reference.
Holton and Tyneham: hardened bezel components on some models
In the same engineering article, Elliot Brown says some Holton and Tyneham models use hardened bezel components it describes as six times harder than the marine-grade stainless-steel cases. This is a company-stated comparison, not a range-wide specification. Confirm whether the particular reference includes the described component before using it to compare watches.

What do independent reviews say?
Independent coverage adds perspective, but it is limited to particular models. WatchGecko’s Holton review describes a mix of historic military-watch cues and contemporary tool-watch design; its reviewer says the manufacturing quality and design thought exceeded expectations. WatchReport also published a hands-on Holton review, while Yachting World reviewed the Bloxworth.

What do the extreme pressure-test stories prove?
Elliot Brown recounts an experimental pressure test in which a Kimmeridge stopped at 1,403m and a Holton Professional continued until 1,921m, when its hands stopped; the company describes a later dial failure at approximately 2,000m. The account is an unusual manufacturer-reported test anecdote, not a water-resistance certification or an advertised operating depth. Do not use those figures as a substitute for the rated water resistance of a specific watch.
The brand’s test account quotes founder Alex Brown describing the company’s intent to over-engineer its watches and discover how far they could survive underwater. That is a statement of design intent. It does not independently verify performance or establish what conditions a wearer can safely expose a particular reference to.

Are Elliot Brown watches good value?
A reliable current, across-range price comparison is not established here, so a blanket verdict on value would be misleading. Judge the exact reference at its current local price. Compare its movement, case and crystal materials, dimensions and fit, finishing, specified water resistance, included strap or bracelet, and warranty and service terms with watches at a similar price.
Military associations and extreme pressure-test anecdotes do not, by themselves, show that a watch is worth its asking price. Before buying, confirm the current price and availability in your region, then check the manufacturer’s specification and support terms for the exact reference. Value depends on whether those features suit your needs and whether you prefer that watch over realistic alternatives in the same price bracket.
