The F.P. Journe Élégante Gino’s Dream is a 48 mm anniversary version of the Élégante, distinguished by a rainbow baguette bezel, yellow rubber strap and electromechanical Calibre 1210. Announced in Geneva on April 8, 2024, it commemorates the collection’s tenth anniversary and honors Serge “Gino” Cukrowicz. The maker says the watch’s hands stop after 35 minutes without motion, while its processor continues keeping time internally.

Gino’s Dream is a commemorative version of the Élégante 48 mm, reference ELHT, powered by Calibre 1210. F.P.Journe announced it on April 8, 2024, for the Élégante’s tenth anniversary. Its defining visual details are a yellow strap and 52 baguette-cut ceramic-glass bezel elements arranged in rainbow hues. The colorful design is personal rather than arbitrary: the brand connects it to Gino’s taste for bright colors and his habit of wearing an Élégante on a yellow bracelet. The brochure recounts that, when asked about his dream for F.P.Journe, Gino replied, “It is to be able to participate in the realisation of François-Paul Journe’s one.”
Who was Gino in Gino’s Dream?
“Gino” was Serge Cukrowicz, whom F.P.Journe identifies as a friend of François-Paul Journe and co-founder of Montres Journe SA. The brand’s April 8, 2024 announcement says Cukrowicz died in Singapore on May 6, 2021. The watch commemorates his connection to the company and the anniversary of the Élégante collection.

These are manufacturer-published model specifications, not measurements of an individual watch. F.P.Journe describes the titanium case as light and resistant; the Titalyt option has an anthracite finish produced by electro-plasma oxidation treatment.
How does the Élégante Calibre 1210 work?
Calibre 1210 is electromechanical: it uses a quartz timekeeping system and a motor to move the hands. According to F.P.Journe, after 35 minutes without motion the watch enters standby. The hands and mechanical train stop, but the processor continues measuring time internally.

How long does the F.P. Journe Élégante battery last?
F.P.Journe states an autonomy of 8 to 10 years in daily use and up to 18 years in standby. These are the manufacturer’s published figures, not independently tested results. The standby figure describes the watch’s low-power state, in which the hands are stopped while the processor continues keeping time; it should not be read as a separate guarantee for every owner’s use.
