What makes the Pembroke II distinctive?
The Pembroke II is the cream-dial version of Farer’s updated Field Collection. Fratello’s November 2024 report describes a coarse-textured dial with black printing, beige luminous material, and a mix of Arabic numerals, baton markers and an inverted triangle. Black syringe-style hour and minute hands keep the layout legible, while a separate white pointer-date hand—with a red Farer “A” tip—indicates the date around the dial’s edge.

Fratello also reports a sloped rehaut for the date scale and a flat sapphire crystal with three layers of anti-reflective coating on its underside. Compared with the original Field Collection, the updated models have slimmer bezels and revised dials. Those details give the Pembroke II more visual texture than a strictly utilitarian field-watch dial, without abandoning its clear, high-contrast layout.
How does the case wear?
Fratello lists the fully brushed stainless-steel case at 38 mm in diameter, 45 mm lug-to-lug and 11.7 mm thick. Those are relatively compact stated dimensions, though dimensions alone cannot guarantee a fit: wrist shape and personal preference matter. The Fratello reviewer found the watch comfortable and said the slimmer bezel improved its proportions. That is one reviewer’s impression, not a universal fit assessment. The same reviewer noted that the space above the crown looked awkward, while describing it as a quirky feature.

What movement and practical specifications does it offer?
The reported movement is the Swiss-made automatic Sellita SW221-1, a pointer-date variant of the SW200-1. Fratello lists manual winding, hacking seconds, 26 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a 41-hour power reserve. These are published specifications; no independent timekeeping-accuracy result is established here.

Fratello reports water resistance of 15 ATM / 150 meters. That rating should not be treated as evidence of dive certification or as a guarantee for every activity. Farer’s general FAQ says ratings vary by model and advises checking that the crown is correctly pushed in or screwed down before water exposure. It also cautions against showering, since heat and soap may damage gaskets.

What comes with the watch?
Fratello reports that the Pembroke II was supplied with both a navy sailcloth strap and a stainless-steel Oyster-style bracelet. The bracelet uses single-head screws and a micro-adjustable NodeX clasp; both the bracelet and strap attach with quick-release spring bars. The strap is 20 mm wide. The second included option is useful if you want to change the watch’s look without sourcing another band, while the clasp’s micro-adjustment offers a way to refine bracelet fit.

What did it cost at launch, and what does ownership involve?
Fratello reported a launch price of £1,095, US$1,250 or €1,295 in its November 6, 2024 article, when preorders were open and shipping was expected in early December 2024. Those figures describe the launch period, not a current offer. Current price and stock status have not been confirmed.

Farer’s FAQ states that its movements have a 60-month / five-year guarantee, beginning on dispatch. The policy excludes, among other items, the case, glass, crown and straps; cosmetic damage; routine maintenance; magnetisation; and water damage caused by user error. It also excludes faults caused by setting the date wheel between 8 pm and 2 am. Farer recommends maintenance service every four years and says third-party servicing invalidates the guarantee. These are general terms in Farer’s FAQ, so check the current policy before purchase or service.

The same FAQ says Farer straps with quick-release spring bars fit wrist sizes from 16 to 23 cm, with short and extra-large sizes also offered. That is general strap guidance, not a guarantee that the supplied strap will suit every wrist in every configuration.

The Pembroke II is worth considering if you want a compact stated case size, a textured cream dial and a date complication that is more distinctive than a conventional date window. The supplied bracelet and navy sailcloth strap provide two different looks, while the reported movement and water-resistance specifications cover the basics many buyers will check.
