What is the fully paved Breguet 3358?
It is a gem-set version of Breguet’s Classique Tourbillon 3358 family, specifically reference 3358BB/8D/986 D0. The watch pairs a white-gold case with a diamond-covered dial and an exposed tourbillon at 6 o’clock. It is distinct from earlier 3358 configurations, including a midnight-blue mother-of-pearl white-gold model and a rose-gold model.
Breguet describes the family’s layout as a double display: an hours chapter at 12 o’clock and a tourbillon at 6 o’clock. The brand’s current family page shows a different configuration, reference 3358BB/52/986 DD00, so its variant-specific details should not automatically be assigned to the fully paved 3358BB/8D/986 D0. Where are the diamonds set?
Monochrome’s 4 December 2024 report separates the settings by location. The caseband remains visibly fluted rather than being fully covered in stones; the bezel and upper lug surfaces are set, and the crown carries a rose-cut diamond.

The off-center gold hour subdial is snow-set with diamonds in six different diameters. Around it, an iridescent white mother-of-pearl chapter ring carries black Breguet numerals and blued-steel open-tipped hands. At 6 o’clock, an elliptical opening frames the tourbillon. The blue alligator strap has a pearlescent finish. These reference-specific details and counts were reported by Monochrome Watches.
What movement is inside?
The report identifies the movement as Breguet calibre 187D, an in-house, manually wound movement with a one-minute tourbillon. Its stated specifications are 187 components, 21 jewels, a frequency of 2.5 Hz and a 50-hour power reserve. The hand-decorated mainplate is visible through the caseback.
Breguet’s current family page also lists manual winding, 2.5 Hz and a 50-hour reserve for its displayed 3358 configuration. That page separately specifies a steel Breguet balance spring for that configuration; the available reference-specific report does not establish that detail for 3358BB/8D/986 D0, so it should not be assumed to apply here.
Case dimensions and water resistance
For the fully paved reference, Monochrome’s technical table lists an 18K white-gold case measuring 35 mm in diameter and 9.3 mm thick, sapphire crystals on the front and back, and 30 m water resistance. Its strap closes with a triple-blade white-gold folding clasp set with 42 diamonds.
Breguet’s current page lists 35 mm, 9.4 mm thickness and 3 BAR for the displayed 3358BB/52/986 DD00 configuration. The 0.1 mm thickness difference is a source- and reference-specific discrepancy, not a figure to average; the published water-resistance specifications also belong to different references and sources.
What did it cost?
Monochrome reported CHF 159,700 including taxes for reference 3358BB/8D/986 D0 in its 4 December 2024 article. Breguet’s current product listing gives no numeric recommended retail price and instead directs prospective buyers to a point of sale. A current local price, availability, or change from the 2024 reported figure is not established by those sources.

How does it differ from other 3358 versions?
The defining difference is not the tourbillon layout but the treatment of the materials and dial. Breguet’s 19 October 2023 announcement introduced a white-gold version with pearled and varnished midnight-blue mother-of-pearl, alongside a rose-gold version whose dial carries 281 diamonds. The 2024 fully paved white-gold reference also has a reported 281-diamond dial, but adds extensive settings across the case and clasp. The tourbillon in the 3358 is a modern expression of a complication associated with Breguet’s history. Swatch Group dates Abraham-Louis Breguet’s historic tourbillon patent to 26 June 1801, corresponding to 7 Messidor Year 9 in the French Revolutionary calendar.
