Bucherer Heritage Worldtimer keeps its second-time-zone display deliberately simple: a city disk turns via a second crown at 9 o’clock, rather than relying on a more elaborate world-time mechanism. The rose-gold reference, 00.10805.03.13.01, pairs that 1950s-inspired idea with the automatic, COSC-certified CFB A2020 movement and peripheral winding. The brand describes the watch as a modern interpretation of an archive design; the specifications below are manufacturer-published, not independent hands-on findings.
A city disk, not a complex world-time display
The Heritage Worldtimer’s defining feature is an outer ring marked with city names. Carl F. Bucherer says the disk is driven by a simple gear train and operated by a second crown at 9 o’clock. One crown winds the movement and adjusts the time; the other operates the time-zone display. This provides a straightforward way to reference another time zone, but the consulted product information does not describe a mechanism that automatically tracks every city’s local time or adjusts for daylight-saving changes.
The design is presented by the brand as a contemporary interpretation of a watch from its 1950s archives. In its official product description, Carl F. Bucherer calls it “This contemporary interpretation of a watch from CFB´s archives from the 1950s – originally created to mark the new-found optimism and wanderlust of the era – features a subtly updated design and a CFB manufacture movement powered by Peripheral Technology.” That provenance and historical framing are the manufacturer’s claims.

Peripheral winding is the modern technical contrast
The A2020 uses Carl F. Bucherer’s Peripheral Technology. The company describes components arranged around the movement’s edge on ball bearings, rather than using a central rotor or attaching them to plates or bridges. For this watch, the brand specifies a peripherally mounted, bidirectional automatic winding system. It says the layout allows a thinner movement and leaves more of the movement visible through the sapphire case back. Those are the manufacturer’s explanations of the design; independent measurements or hands-on assessments are not available here.

What to check before choosing one
- How you want to read the second time zone: the city disk is manually operated by the crown at 9 o’clock; the available product information does not establish automatic city-by-city time conversion.
- Case material and edition: the rose-gold reference is limited to 88 pieces, while the steel variants are described as unlimited.
- Exact configuration: dial color and strap or bracelet depend on the reference and market offering. Do not assume every steel version ships with the same configuration.
- Price and stock: the official page gives price on request, and the consulted sources do not establish live availability. Ask an authorized seller for current local details.
- Water exposure: the listed rating is 3 bar (30 m); consult the manufacturer or seller for guidance on use rather than treating the number as a promise of suitability for swimming or diving.
