The Baltic Prismic is a compact, 36mm dress-watch collection built around faceted markers, textured dials and a hand-wound movement. When it debuted in February 2024, it came in four classic dial colors; Baltic now lists those alongside four stone-dial versions, which use a different movement.
What is the Baltic Prismic?
The Prismic is Baltic’s more formal, design-led watch collection. Baltic calls it “a modern take on ‘cocktail watches’.” Monochrome Watches’ February 15, 2024 first look described the brand’s inspiration as “inspired by geometric shapes and luminous refractions of the prism.” That is the collection’s stated design framing, rather than proof of a specific historical lineage.
The dial brings several details together: a guilloché-like effect in the center, a circular-brushed chapter ring, faceted applied hour markers, dauphine hands and a small-seconds display. The case’s mix of stainless steel and grade 5 titanium was also part of the original design: steel at the bezel, lugs and caseback, with titanium in the middle case.
How big is the Baltic Prismic?
The listed dimensions make the Prismic relatively compact by contemporary watch standards, though fit will depend on the wearer and wrist. Monochrome reported the launch model at 36mm across, 44mm lug-to-lug and 9.2mm thick including the crystal (7.4mm without it). Baltic’s current product pages retain the 36mm, 44mm and 9.2mm measurements.

Classic Prismic and Prismic Stone: what’s different?
Baltic’s current collection page lists eight models: four classic dial colors and four stone-dial variants. The principal practical difference is the movement: the classic models use an ETA Peseux 7001, while the stone-dial models use a La Joux-Perret D100. Their stated power reserves differ, too.
| Variant | Dial | Movement and reserve | Displayed starting price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic Purple, Grey blue, Salmon, Green | Textured dial with guilloché-like central effect and circular-brushed chapter ring | Hand-wound ETA Peseux 7001; 42 hours | €990 for classic models on Baltic’s collection page, accessed in 2026 |
| Stone Pietersite | Pietersite stone dial | Hand-wound La Joux-Perret D100; 50 hours | €1,450 on Baltic’s collection page, accessed in 2026 |
| Stone Pink Albite, Dumortierite, Bloodstone | Stone dials in the named materials | Hand-wound La Joux-Perret D100; 50 hours | €1,300 on Baltic’s collection page, accessed in 2026 |
These are Baltic’s displayed starting prices, not guaranteed totals for every country or configuration. Tax treatment, strap or bracelet selection, availability and prices can change; check the relevant model listing before ordering. The stone dials give each version a distinct natural-material appearance, while the movement change means the classic ETA specification should not be assumed for a Prismic Stone.
What movement does the Baltic Prismic use?
Classic dial models
The classic Purple, Grey blue, Salmon and Green models use the hand-wound ETA Peseux 7001. Monochrome’s 2024 launch article gives a 42-hour power reserve and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour; Baltic’s current classic product listings also state a 42-hour reserve.

What did the Prismic cost at launch, and what does it cost now?
At the February 2024 launch, Monochrome listed the classic Prismic at €990 excluding tax on leather or €1,050 excluding tax on the steel mesh bracelet. Those were launch-era prices, not current quotes. Baltic’s collection page accessed in 2026 displays starting prices of €990 for the classic models, €1,300 for Pink Albite, Dumortierite and Bloodstone, and €1,450 for Pietersite. Check Baltic’s listing for your region, tax treatment and selected configuration before relying on a price.
Straps, bracelets and availability
Baltic lists an Italian calf-leather strap or mesh bracelet for these watches. The brand says its straps are compatible except for Beads of Rice and Flat Link bracelets; the exact options can vary by product page. The launch article also noted quick-release fittings. Check the selected model listing for its included strap or bracelet and current choices.
Stock varies by model and can change. Baltic’s product pages may show some variants available to add to cart and others out of stock, so check the individual listing rather than assuming the whole collection has the same availability. The 2024 launch article said first deliveries were expected in July 2024; that was launch timing, not a current delivery estimate.
Is the Baltic Prismic the right kind of dress watch?
The Prismic’s appeal is its combination of a compact case and unusually expressive dial details, rather than a conventional plain dress-watch look. The classic versions offer the four original color choices and ETA movement; the stone-dial models add material variety and a longer stated reserve, at higher displayed starting prices. With 30m water resistance and manual winding, it is best approached as a dress-oriented watch rather than a do-everything sports model.
