Chopard lists a 41 mm case, 100 m water resistance and approximately 60 hours of power reserve. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.
What is different about the Cadence 8HF?
Chopard identifies reference 298600-3028 as the ALPINE EAGLE 41 SL CADENCE 8HF and describes it as the collection’s third high-frequency timepiece. Its distinguishing technical feature is the 01.14-C caliber, which beats at 8 Hz—57,600 vibrations per hour. Chopard also lists ceramicised titanium for the case and for the movement’s plate and bridges, extending the material story beyond the exterior.
The brand calls this its lightest-ever watch, both within the Alpine Eagle collection and at Chopard overall. That is Chopard’s own claim; the product page does not provide a weight figure or comparative measurement. Nor does the published information establish independent wear testing, scratch-resistance testing, or a comparison showing that the higher frequency makes this watch more accurate or shock-resistant.
Case, dial and strap
Chopard lists a 41 mm case diameter and 9.70 mm thickness. The case is ceramicised titanium with a bead-blasted finish. The dial is described as textured titanium in “Pitch Black,” with subtle orange details. A titanium screw-down crown, sapphire crystal over the dial and transparent sapphire case-back complete the published exterior specifications.

The watch is listed with a black rubber strap and titanium pin buckle. Chopard specifies water resistance of 100 m. These details come from the manufacturer’s product listing rather than hands-on inspection. For the full specification set, see Chopard’s UK product page.
What the 8 Hz movement offers on paper
The self-winding mechanical Chopard 01.14-C provides hours, minutes, seconds and a date display, with stop-seconds. Chopard lists approximately 60 hours of power reserve, COSC chronometer certification, 210 parts and 28 jewels. The caliber is 4.95 mm thick; its plate and bridges are ceramicised titanium with sandblasted decoration, and its rotor is blackened.

An 8 Hz rate means the balance completes eight oscillations per second, equivalent to 57,600 vibrations per hour. The figure describes the caliber’s frequency; by itself, it does not establish real-world accuracy, durability or resistance to shocks. Chopard characterizes the movement as more technical and complex than a classic escapement movement, which should be understood as the manufacturer’s description rather than an independent comparison.
Price and availability
At the time the regional listings were checked in 2026, Chopard’s UK page displayed £23,200 and asked interested customers to register interest because quantities are very limited. The Canadian page displayed CA$36,300 and advised contacting a boutique, noting that inventory changes frequently. These are separate market-specific listed prices, not a currency conversion or a guarantee of local stock.

The Cadence 8HF is most compelling on its stated technical premise: a high-frequency, COSC-certified automatic movement paired with ceramicised titanium used in both the watch’s exterior and parts of its caliber. Its 41 mm diameter and 9.70 mm thickness give useful dimensions to consider, but fit is personal; the listing does not establish how it wears on a particular wrist. The limited run of 250 pieces and regional availability also make confirmed stock an important part of any buying decision.

For a meaningful comparison with another watch, weigh the actual material and finish, case dimensions and fit, movement frequency and certification, listed reserve, market-specific price, and confirmed availability. The product specifications alone cannot settle questions of comparative accuracy, wear comfort or scratch resistance.
