CVDK calls it the only mechanical planetarium watch to display all eight planets; that exclusivity is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independently established comparison of every mechanical watch.
What the Eccentric Planetarium display shows
On the Grand Planetarium Eccentric Manufacture, each of the eight planets follows an eccentric orbit around the Sun. CVDK’s product description presents the display as a mechanical representation of the solar system, rather than a conventional subdial showing a single timekeeping function. The maker’s 2024 announcement gives the orbital periods represented by the mechanism:

These are the periods listed in CVDK’s announcement, not a claim that a wearer can observe each planet completing an orbit during ordinary ownership. The disparity between the fast inner planets and distant outer planets is part of what the display represents.
CKGP1104: case, dial and everyday timekeeping
The manufacturer’s documented reference, CKGP1104, pairs the solar-system display with conventional hours, minutes, seconds and date. It also lists a zodiac-sign indicator. CVDK says the rotating Sun logo indicates the seconds.

Those are the specifications CVDK publishes for CKGP1104. They describe the documented rose-gold reference, not necessarily every later version carrying the Grand Planetarium Eccentric name.
Why the mechanism is unusual
CVDK’s 2024 announcement reports 3,338 gear teeth in the mechanism and calls the watch the most complicated timepiece created in its atelier. The tooth count helps convey the scale of the gearing involved, but it is the maker’s figure and characterization; it does not, by itself, provide a standardized comparison with other complicated watches.

The project connects a wristwatch complication to the brand’s earlier astronomical work. CVDK traces its roots to the Kepler’s Planetarium Clock, developed by founder Christiaan van der Klaauw in 1995. The brand says the 2024 model marked its 50th anniversary and credits Christiaan van der Klaauw, Daniël Reintjes, Maria Reintjes and Pim Koeslag across the concept, design and technical development.
Rose gold and platinum references and reported prices
The official product page in the available documentation specifies CKGP1104 in rose gold. Monochrome Watches reported two references and prices including taxes in 2024; its reported figures are not confirmed current official prices.

The original rose-gold CKGP1104 should not be conflated with later watches related to the Eccentric Planetarium. CVDK announced a Grand Planetarium Eccentric Meteorite in March 2025. Revolution has also reported a six-piece CVDK × Revolution Si14 collaboration, featuring a silicon dial and 316L steel case. These are separate releases; the CKGP1104 product page’s details should not automatically be applied to them.
