A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11The Frederique Constant x Watch Angels Worldtimer Manufacture keeps the crown-operated FC-718 world-time movement but gives it a more compact 40.5 mm case and a cleaner, no-date dial. It is a 718-piece collaboration, reference FCWA.718.SS.2.1.1. Whether the stripped-back design improves on the regular Worldtimer is a matter of taste; the clearest practical change is that the date subdial no longer interrupts the city ring.
What is different about the Watch Angels Worldtimer?
Frederique Constant and Watch Angels developed this limited edition around the brand’s FC-718 Worldtimer. The collaboration was presented as a complement to the 42 mm Classic Worldtimer Manufacture. Its 40.5 mm diameter is smaller, though the difference is modest rather than a wholesale change in scale.
The blue dial retains the Worldtimer’s 24-city ring and day/night 24-hour display, but removes the date subdial at six o’clock and the map found on some regular Worldtimer dials. That leaves the city and time-zone information with less visual competition. Readers who like the map or want a date display may prefer the more information-rich regular design.
How is the case and dial finished?
The three-part case is stainless steel, with vertically brushed lugs and case sides, a polished bezel, and a signed crown. The front crystal is domed sapphire with anti-reflective coating on both sides; a sapphire display back screws into the case. Watch Angels specifies 316L steel. A black handmade leather strap with folding clasp completes the watch, with a listed lug width of 20 mm.

The blue dial has a sunray-finished center and circular-grained minute track. Applied rhodium indexes and polished rhodium hands mark the time. The inclined city disc names 24 cities, paired with a two-tone 24-hour disc whose gold-colored sun and silver moon indicate day and night.
What are the dimensions and specifications?
| Specification | Published detail |
|---|---|
| Reference and edition | FCWA.718.SS.2.1.1; limited to 718 pieces |
| Case | 40.5 mm diameter; stainless steel |
| Case thickness | Conflicting published figures: the 2025 launch announcement and Monochrome state 13.40 mm; Frederique Constant’s current product page states 12.15 mm. The sources do not reconcile the difference. |
| Crystal and back | Domed sapphire front crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides; sapphire display back |
| Water resistance | 5 ATM / 50 m / 165 ft |
| Strap | Black handmade leather with folding clasp; 20 mm lug width |
| Movement | Automatic Frederique Constant FC-718, 26 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), 38-hour power reserve |
| Functions | Hours, minutes, central seconds and world time; functions operated by the crown |
The FC-718 identification is used in the collaboration’s launch announcement and Watch Angels listing. Frederique Constant’s current product page displays FC-717 in its movement field despite identifying the Watch Angels Worldtimer; the available pages do not explain that discrepancy.

How does the world-time setting work?
All functions are operated through the crown, without separate correctors or additional crowns, according to Frederique Constant and Watch Angels. The date-free dial is especially relevant to the world-time display: the city ring is not interrupted by a date subdial, making the time-zone information more open at a glance.
How does it compare with the 42 mm Classic Worldtimer Manufacture?
| Consideration | Watch Angels edition | 42 mm Classic Worldtimer Manufacture |
|---|---|---|
| Case diameter | 40.5 mm | 42 mm |
| Dial layout | No date subdial; omits the map used on some regular dials | Regular versions may include a date subdial and map |
| World-time operation | Crown-operated FC-718; no extra correctors | The collaboration retains the Worldtimer’s crown-operated approach |
| Water resistance | 50 m | not stated in the cited launch and comparison sources |
| Power reserve | 38 hours | not stated in the cited launch and comparison sources |
The reduced diameter and less crowded dial are the edition’s defining choices. A cleaner display is not automatically a better one: Monochrome described the result as cleaner while personally preferring the older design. Treat that as an aesthetic judgment, not a technical verdict.

What did it cost, and is it available now?
Frederique Constant and Watch Angels announced a recommended retail price of CHF 4,490 for the 718-piece edition in 2025. The subscription order window opened on February 13, 2025, with exclusive availability through Watch Angels during that window and delivery planned for September 2025. Those are historical launch terms, not a current offer.
As checked on October 8, 2026, the official Watch Angels product page labels the watch “Sold out.” That confirms the status of that listing at that time, not whether an authorized retailer or reputable resale seller has stock. No third-party inventory or current transaction price is established here.

Who is this version for?
- Consider it if you want a Worldtimer with a slightly smaller case than the 42 mm model and a city ring unobstructed by a date subdial.
- The regular Worldtimer may suit you better if you value the map or prefer the date display and fuller dial.
- The 50 m water-resistance rating applies to the watch; it does not make the leather strap suitable for swimming.
- Use the published movement figures as specifications, not independent performance-test results.
