To set it for a destination, follow Hamilton’s manual:
- Set reference time with the 24-hour hand and minute hand in crown position p3. During this initial setup, the local hour hand moves as well.
- Set the date and local time in crown position p2.
- When traveling, put the crown in position p2 and adjust the local hour hand in one-hour increments to the destination time. The reference-time hand remains unchanged, and the date changes as the local hour hand passes midnight.
- Push the crown back in and screw it down after adjustment.
For initial reference-time setup, Hamilton’s manual says the bezel triangle should be at 12 o’clock; if it has moved, turn the bezel counter-clockwise to return it there. Consult the manual for the complete setting instructions.
How many time zones can it track?
The GMT hand indicates reference time, while the rotating 24-hour bezel can be repositioned to help read an additional time-zone offset. Hamilton describes the bezel as enabling a third time zone. This is a reading aid using the existing hand and bezel, not a third independent hand or separately adjustable display. The manual describes the 24-hour hand and bezel as indicating a second time zone, so avoid interpreting the feature as three independent time displays.

How do you set the GMT on the Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba?
Hamilton’s manual says to set reference time with the 24-hour hand and minute hand in crown position p3, then set date and local time in p2. For travel, use p2 to move the local hour hand in one-hour increments without changing reference time. Push the crown in and screw it down afterward.
How many time zones does the Hamilton Scuba GMT track?
The 24-hour hand indicates reference time, and the bezel can be used to read another offset. Hamilton says the bezel enables a third time zone, but that is a calculation using the existing GMT hand and bezel—not a third independent display.
