Hanhart’s modern 415 ES revives the look of its mid-1960s chronograph with a hand-wound movement and contemporary materials. The launch-era Iconic version paired yellow markers with white and red scales; Hanhart’s current lineup also includes the 415 ES Pure, a distinct variant with white dial details and a steel-bracelet option. Here’s what links the new watch to the original—and what has changed.
What the 415 ES revival brings back
Hanhart says the original 415 ES was first presented in the mid-1960s and appeared in multiple historical designs. For the revival, the brand chose a configuration with straight hands, a tachymeter scale and a red hundred scale. It is a reinterpretation, not a claim to reproduce every detail of one original reference.
The watch also carries Hanhart’s historic wing logo. The manufacturer says the logo has returned to a wristwatch after more than 40 years. Hanhart describes the design aim as retaining the classic look while updating materials and the movement; that is the maker’s stated intent, rather than an independent assessment. How to read the scales
Tachymeter
The tachymeter scale is used to calculate speed over a set distance. In a typical use, start the chronograph at the beginning of the measured distance and stop it at the end; the scale can indicate speed when the distance is known.

Red hundred scale
The red scale serves a different purpose: decimal or industrial-minute timing. In that system, one minute is divided into 100 units. It is not a scale for measuring hundredths of a second. Iconic and Pure: what differs in the current lineup
Hanhart’s current pages distinguish the Iconic and Pure by dial treatment and available configuration. The 2024 launch coverage describes the Iconic’s yellow markers, white scales and red hundred scale; those launch-era details should not be confused with the Pure’s current white accents.

The Iconic’s current SKU is H703.210-6428. Monochrome Watches identified the 2024 launch reference as H703.210-8010, a size-M black leather configuration, and also listed black, dark brown and light brown leather variants in sizes M and L.
