The Holthinrichs Signature Ornament is the Dutch brand’s entry-level watch: a 38.5 mm Grade 5 titanium automatic introduced in 2024, distinguished by its flowing, sculptural lugs and layered dial. It is separate from the more experimental, limited Signature Lab Series.
What is the Holthinrichs Signature Ornament?
Holthinrichs introduced the Signature Ornament in May 2024. Fratello described it as the brand’s entry-level model in February 2025. The name matters: the Ornament is the CNC-machined model, not a member of the separately produced Signature Lab Series. Fratello’s 2024 launch report and 2025 hands-on coverage document the watch’s design and specifications.
Case and dimensions
The case is Grade 5 titanium, measuring 38.5 mm across, 46 mm lug to lug and 9.85 mm thick, according to Fratello’s 2024 and 2025 reports. It combines raw and brushed surfaces with a concave bezel and case band. A double-domed sapphire crystal tops the case, while the lugs sweep beneath it and follow its contours. Fratello’s 2025 hands-on report gives a water-resistance rating of 50 metres.
Founder Michiel Holthinrichs trained as an architect. The 2024 launch report describes the flowing case design as drawing on Art Nouveau architecture and classic-car fenders; these are the founder’s stated design inspirations. The brand is based in Delft, and its Delft Blue dial option nods to the city’s pottery tradition.

Dial options and construction
The standard dial is built in layers: a frosted metal base, a sapphire layer carrying the logo and minute markers, and a separate metal ring with 12 hour markers. At launch, the ring options were 14K yellow gold, 18K rose gold, white rhodium and black rhodium. Fratello’s 2025 report says the cantilevered indexes use Super-LumiNova C3.
Delft Blue
Delft Blue uses a white ceramic base with blue printing and Breguet numerals rather than the standard dial treatment. It is a distinct dial variant, not a different watch line.
Movement and power reserve
The Signature Ornament uses an automatic Sellita SW300 modified for Holthinrichs and fitted with a bespoke rotor. Fratello’s 2025 specification lists 25 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a 50-hour power reserve. Its 2024 launch report instead gives a 42-hour reserve. Because those published figures conflict, the reserve should be treated as unconfirmed until Holthinrichs provides a current specification.

Price and availability
At the May 2024 launch, Fratello reported prices excluding VAT of €3,500 for a metal-dial version and €3,750 for Delft Blue. Its February 2025 hands-on article cited €3,500 before taxes. These are dated published prices, not a guarantee of today’s price.
Holthinrichs’ current homepage displays metal-dial Signature Ornament variants at €3,750 and Delft Blue at €3,990, and marks the displayed variants sold out. The homepage is not a complete product listing, so it does not establish availability, delivery timing or pricing for every configuration. Contact the brand to confirm those details before ordering.

The Signature Lab Series is a separate, limited line that shares the brand’s broad design language but uses a different approach to case-making and finishing. The original Lab Series described in 2024 coverage has a 3D-printed, manually finished case, skeletonized lugs and a handmade patinated copper dial; it was limited to 30 pieces.

In 2026, Fratello reported two distinct Lab editions, the 1.S and 1.GMT, each limited to 100 pieces. Their reported prices were €5,900 and €6,500 excluding tax, respectively. Those edition-specific details should not be treated as a single, continuing Lab Series specification.

The case-making method, dial and edition size are the clearest distinctions. The Ornament is the more straightforward model in the collection; the Lab editions are separate limited releases rather than alternate names or configurations for it.
