Hublot’s Classic Fusion Chronograph Arturo Fuente King Gold is a 50-piece limited edition released in December 2024 to mark the 25th anniversary of OpusX. A 25th-anniversary collaboration
Hublot and Carlito Fuente presented the watch in December 2024 as a celebration of OpusX’s 25th anniversary. Hublot described it as the sixth special-edition series in its collaboration with Arturo Fuente. The brand’s release says Fuente first saw the watch at the Arturo Fuente cigar factory in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. Arturo Fuente also characterized the watch as an anniversary celebration on its website.
The exact reference is 541.OX.8980.LR.OPX24, and the edition is limited to 50 pieces. Hublot said it was available through its boutiques and authorized retailers at launch; that announcement does not establish whether any pieces remain available now.
Green, gold, and tobacco-leaf details
Hublot says this is the first Fuente edition in a 42 mm Classic Fusion Chronograph case and the first to use King Gold for both the case and bezel. The bezel’s laser-engraved tobacco-leaf motif gives the collaboration its most direct visual reference to cigar-making.

The emerald-green dial has a sunray finish and a fumé gradient that darkens toward the edges. At 3 o’clock, the constant-seconds counter carries an anniversary OpusX logo in gold and green. A strap pairing black rubber with green alligator leather extends the color scheme without making the case or dial entirely green.
The solid 18K King Gold caseback is engraved and lacquered with OpusX 25th-anniversary artwork. Hublot’s green lacquered presentation box is intended to function as a cigar humidor; the company credits its design to a collaboration with longtime creative partner Manny Iriarte.

Hublot describes King Gold as an exclusive alloy containing platinum and having a warmer tone than traditional 18K 5N gold. This edition makes the collaboration legible through its materials and presentation: King Gold, the green OpusX anniversary dial, tobacco-leaf engraving, branded caseback, and humidor-style box. Those details are specific to the anniversary story rather than a neutral Classic Fusion treatment. Carlito Fuente, quoted in Hublot’s release, said: “The honor and privilege of building such a wonderful relationship with Hublot, which I consider family, has been one of my greatest lifetime achievements.”
Hublot’s praise for the watch is promotional language from the brand, not an independent evaluation. For a potential purchase, verify the exact reference and edition documentation, and confirm availability and price directly with an authorized seller; the launch announcement alone cannot establish either today.
