Rolex’s six-watch Day-Date 36 group reported in March 2023 split between three stone-dial models and three puzzle-dial models. The stone versions pair green aventurine with Everose gold, carnelian with yellow gold, and turquoise with platinum; the puzzle versions replace the conventional day and date displays with words and emojis.
What changed across the six Day-Date 36 models?
The collection divides into two distinct dial ideas. Hodinkee’s 2023 report identifies the stone-dial references as 128345RBR, 128348RBR and 128396TBR, each in a 36 mm case. Bangkok Post’s coverage describes the puzzle-dial decoration as champlevé enamel.

How do the puzzle dials show the day and date?
Rather than the usual day-of-the-week window and date numeral, each puzzle dial uses the upper arc to display one of seven words: Happy, Eternity, Gratitude, Peace, Faith, Love or Hope. The date aperture shows one of 31 emojis. The result changes the watch’s familiar calendar layout into a more expressive display; it is not simply a different dial color.
What specifications were reported?
Hodinkee reported a 36 mm case, 100 m water-resistance rating, calibre 3255 and Presidential bracelet for the six-watch group. Bangkok Post reported approximately 70 hours of power reserve. These are figures and construction details from 2023 secondary coverage; the available official Rolex collection page does not provide the specific launch details for these variants.

Bangkok Post also described a concealed folding Crownclasp and ceramic inserts in the bracelet. That report should not be read as independent confirmation that every technical construction detail applies identically to every reference.

The six-watch group is a 2023 release, not a 2026 novelty. Hodinkee’s dated report and the Bangkok Post coverage describe the launch; Rolex’s official Day-Date collection page establishes the collection but does not, in the material available here, confirm these particular 2023 variants.
