Its published specifications make it an unusually slim, high-frequency proposition; they do not establish how the watch performs on the wrist or in independent timing tests.
How thin is the Ripples Skeleton?
Speake-Marin lists the reference 604020150 at 40.30 mm in diameter and 6.30 mm thick, in 904L stainless steel. That is the key to the model’s “ultra-thin” description: the case is notably slender on paper while retaining a contemporary 40.30 mm diameter. No hands-on assessment of its fit or comfort is established by those dimensions.
The maker specifies sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating on the dial and case back, plus a screw-down crown and case back. The stated water-resistance rating is 5 ATM. That rating should not be read as a blanket assurance for every swimming or diving situation.
What does the 5 Hz movement offer?
The watch uses Speake-Marin’s SMA07, which the brand describes as its first manufacture ultra-thin automatic skeleton movement. The calibre is openworked, putting its construction on display rather than hiding it behind a conventional dial. Speake-Marin’s product page calls this approach “watchmaking laid bare”—the brand’s characterization, rather than an independent assessment.

The maker specifies a frequency of 5 Hz, equivalent to 36,000 vibrations per hour. It also lists a 52-hour power reserve and states precision of ±5 seconds per day. That precision figure is manufacturer-published, not an independently verified timing result or a guarantee for every example.

Speake-Marin also identifies a tungsten micro-rotor and Swiss lever escapement. These are specifications of the SMA07 in this model; the brand’s SMA06 references relate to other Ripples versions, not the Ripples Skeleton.

Bracelet and adjustment
The watch is supplied on an integrated three-row steel bracelet with polished and brushed surfaces, according to the product page. Speake-Marin lists a personalized folding clasp and up to 4 mm of micro-adjustment. The integrated design is part of the watch’s stated configuration; generic strap compatibility is not established.

Speake-Marin’s product page currently displays a suggested retail price of CHF 32,400 excluding taxes. The brand notes that prices may change and are not contractual. Where it sits in the Ripples range
Speake-Marin’s Ripples collection page lists the Skeleton alongside the Portobello, Kármán Line, Gold, Infinity Date, Dune Date and Black Original. A meaningful comparison should account for case dimensions, movement architecture and frequency, dial openness, water resistance, bracelet or strap configuration, and current price and availability. The listed models are not established here as direct like-for-like alternatives.
Speake-Marin’s brand article dated 15 January 2025 describes the SMA07’s unveiling in the Ripples Skeleton as a major turning point for the company. A separate archive entry dated 3 February 2026 does not, by itself, establish the watch’s original launch date.
