The 2025 Chopard L.U.C Lunar One keeps its perpetual calendar and orbital moon-phase display, but presents them in a smaller-diameter case with a revised dial and quick-release straps. Monochrome Watches reported two versions: white gold with a salmon dial (161951-1002) and rose gold with a blue dial (161951-5001). The specifications and launch prices below are those reported by Monochrome on 20 January 2025; they do not establish current availability or pricing.
What changed in the 2025 refresh?
Chopard introduced the L.U.C Lunar One in 2005. Rebecca Doulton’s Monochrome Watches article describes it as “Chopard’s first calendar and astronomy complication.” The 2025 refresh retains its perpetual calendar and orbital moon phase while revising the case, dial and strap system.

The reported diameter falls from 43 mm to 40.5 mm, while thickness rises slightly from 11.47 mm to 11.63 mm. Monochrome describes the new case as basin-shaped, with a narrower base and domed bezel. These proportions and construction details are reported by Monochrome Watches, 20 January 2025.
The case is reported in ethical 18k white or rose gold, with satin-brushed flanks and lug sides, polished bezel and lug tops, a domed glare-proofed sapphire crystal and a transparent caseback. Its short curved lugs are separately made and welded to the case. Reported water resistance is 30 m.

How are the calendar and moon phase displayed?
The perpetual calendar is arranged around the dial: a twin-window date sits at 12 o’clock; weekday and day/night indications are at 9; and month and leap-year indications are at 3. At 6, an aperture combines the moon-phase display with small seconds.
The orbital moon-phase display uses a blue celestial background depicting the Big Dipper and Southern Cross. Monochrome relays the manufacturer’s claim that the display requires a one-day correction only once every 122 years. That is a stated correction interval, not a result of independent testing.

The dial decoration is hand-guilloché in a sunburst pattern radiating from the moon-phase aperture. Compared with the earlier design, the updated dial replaces large Roman numerals with slim, herringbone-style gold indices and removes the prominent outer railway minutes track. The Dauphine-style hands are reported to have no lume.

Monochrome reports the same movement and complications for both versions; the stated distinction is the pairing of case metal and dial color. Each is reported to come with a hand-stitched alligator strap and a calfskin strap, a tool-free quick-release system and a gold pin buckle matching the case.

Monochrome identifies the automatic movement as calibre L.U.C 96.13-L. Its reported specification is a 22k ethical-gold micro-rotor, twin barrels, 355 components, 32 jewels, a 4 Hz beat rate and a 65-hour power reserve. The article also reports COSC chronometer certification and the Poinçon de Genève hallmark.
Finishing described in the article includes hand-chamfering, satin-brushing, polishing, circular graining and Côtes de Genève. These movement details are attributed to Monochrome’s report rather than independently confirmed here.

What were the reported launch prices?
Monochrome reported launch pricing of CHF 81,600 or EUR 92,200 in its 20 January 2025 article. Those are reported prices from that date, not confirmed current prices. The article does not establish present-day stock or regional availability; confirm price and availability with Chopard or an authorized retailer.
Chopard’s official U.S. homepage is available at chopard.com, but the retrieved homepage did not show either Lunar One reference or model-level specifications.
