Is it a real dive watch?
On the published specifications, yes. The watch is rated to 30 bar (300m) and uses a screw-in crown plus an internal rotating diving flange. Longines’ technical captions associate this model with ISO 6425 diver-watch certification.

The internal bezel is operated beneath the crystal rather than exposed around the outside of the case. That preserves the Legend Diver’s vintage profile, but it is a different interaction from the external timing bezel found on many modern dive watches. The sapphire crystal has anti-reflective treatment on both sides, and the luminous dial is intended to support underwater legibility.
ISO association and a 300m rating describe the watch’s stated construction and certification status; they do not replace proper crown checks, gasket maintenance or dive-equipment practices. A mechanical watch should not be treated as a substitute for a dive computer or other essential timing and safety equipment.

How the 39mm case compares with larger Legend Diver options
The 39mm case is the key fit decision. It offers the compact proportion associated with the classic Legend Diver format, while larger versions of the collection present more wrist presence. Longines’ launch material establishes the white model’s diameter but does not provide a single standardized set of dimensions for every larger Legend Diver reference, so direct lug-to-lug or thickness comparisons depend on the specific model.

Buyers who want a larger visual presence should compare the exact case diameter, lug dimensions and clasp system of the alternative reference rather than assuming that all Legend Diver models wear alike.

Movement and everyday practicality
Calibre L888.6 is a self-winding mechanical movement running at 25,200 vibrations per hour. Its monocrystalline silicon balance-spring is designed to improve resistance to magnetic fields, and Longines quotes a power reserve of up to 72 hours — Longines, 2025. That reserve can cover a weekend off the wrist, although actual running time varies with winding state and use.
The bracelet’s micro-adjustment system gives the wearer a way to fine-tune fit without changing links. The double-security folding clasp adds a second closure safeguard. Independent accuracy measurements, measured power-reserve tests and hands-on comfort assessments are not established by Longines’ launch specifications, so those points should not be inferred from the stated movement architecture.
