The Orient Bambino 75th Anniversary Classic is the cleaner, date-only choice; the Day/Night adds a sun-and-moon display plus weekday, date, and 24-hour indicators. Both share the anniversary styling, an exhibition caseback, and an approximately 40-hour power reserve. The main practical trade-offs are the Day/Night’s busier dial and slightly larger case, against its smaller limited-edition run.
What distinguishes the two anniversary Bambinos?
Orient announced both watches as limited editions in its Classic and Simple Style series, the family associated with the Bambino name. The Classic is a conventional time-and-date watch. The Day/Night retains the date but adds a small sun-and-moon display and sub-registers for weekday and 24-hour indication. Orient describes the sun-and-moon display as tracing the passage of time and indicating day or night; it is not a light sensor. Orient’s 2025 announcement gives edition quantities of 9,500 Classic watches and 5,500 Day/Night watches.

Shared anniversary design
Both versions use a white dial, the original cursive Orient logo, pink-gold-colored indices, blue hands, and a beige nubuck strap, with an additional exchangeable leather strap included according to Orient’s announcement. Each has an exhibition caseback. Orient Watch USA describes the Classic’s strap as brown suede, while the announcement calls it beige nubuck; those descriptions vary, so the materials should not be treated as a confirmed distinction between the models. The anniversary styling draws on the original Classic and Simple Style design that acquired the Bambino nickname. Orient’s anniversary history explains that lineage, but it does not make all Bambino references interchangeable.
How the cases and movements compare
Classic: the more compact, simpler layout
The U.S. listing for reference RA-AC0027S30B specifies a 40.5 mm stainless-steel case, 46.5 mm lug-to-lug length, and 12 mm thickness. Its F6724 automatic movement supports hand winding and hacking, and the listing gives an approximately 40-hour reserve. Other listed details include a domed mineral crystal, date display, exhibition caseback, 30 m water resistance, buckle, and 21 mm lug width. Day/Night: more information, slightly larger dimensions
For RA-AK08083S30B, Orient Watch USA lists a 41.5 mm case, 47 mm lug-to-lug length, and 14.2 mm thickness. Its F6B24 automatic movement also supports hand winding and hacking, with an approximately 40-hour reserve. The listing specifies a domed mineral crystal, exhibition caseback, 30 m water resistance, and 21 mm lug width, alongside its weekday, date, and 24-hour sub-registers. The one-millimeter difference in listed diameter is modest, while the Day/Night is also 2.2 mm thicker and 0.5 mm longer lug-to-lug according to those same U.S. specifications. The extra registers bring more information onto the dial; whether that suits you is as much a matter of preference as function.

Which version makes more sense for you?
- Choose the Classic if you want a traditional-looking Bambino dial with a date, and prefer the smaller listed diameter and thinner case.
- Choose the Day/Night if the sun-and-moon display and weekday, date, and 24-hour indications are useful or appealing to you, and you are comfortable with the busier dial and larger listed case.
Orient’s general Day & Night collection description explains the time-tracing display, but covers several references; not every Day & Night model is this anniversary edition. The exact anniversary reference is the useful identifier when comparing listings.
