Zenith’s DEFY Extreme Diver Shadow and DEFY Revival Diver Shadow, announced June 3, 2025, share micro-blasted titanium cases, black-and-yellow details and 600 m water resistance—but take different routes. The 42.5 mm Extreme is the larger, contemporary tool-watch option; the 37 mm Revival brings the proportions and design lineage of the DEFY A3648. Both have screw-down crowns, while the Extreme adds a helium valve.
Two Shadow editions, two design directions
Zenith described the June 2025 editions as “reimagined in striking micro-blasted titanium ‘Shadow’ editions, fusing vintage inspiration with bold, contemporary design.” The shared finish and color palette tie the watches together, but their cases, bezels and movements distinguish them: the Extreme develops the modern DEFY Diver approach, while the Revival revisits the A3648’s heritage design.
Zenith lists both models as available through its boutiques, online and authorized retailers worldwide. That is the stated retail channel, not confirmation of current stock; check with Zenith or an authorized retailer for availability.

DEFY Extreme Diver Shadow: the larger technical option
The Extreme measures 42.5 mm across, with a 47.4 mm lug-to-lug length and 15.5 mm thickness. Its black ceramic bezel and helium valve reinforce its more contemporary, equipment-focused character. The titanium bracelet is supplied alongside two strap options: black rubber with a Cordura effect and black-and-yellow fabric.
Its automatic El Primero 3620 runs at 5 Hz and is specified with a 60-hour power reserve. The higher stated frequency and longer reserve distinguish it mechanically from the Revival, though those figures alone do not establish differences in real-world accuracy or performance.

DEFY Revival Diver Shadow: A3648 proportions and cues
The Revival is 37 mm in diameter, 44 mm lug-to-lug and 15.5 mm thick. Its dimensions are more compact across the wrist than the Extreme’s, while retaining the same stated thickness and 600 m water-resistance rating. The design draws on the DEFY A3648; its yellow-tinted sapphire bezel insert gives the Shadow treatment a different look from the Extreme’s black ceramic bezel.
Inside is Zenith’s automatic Elite 670, specified at 4 Hz with a 50-hour power reserve. Zenith lists the micro-blasted titanium bracelet for this model.
