Fratello described that pace as modest beside the release volume of brands such as Seiko and Citizen, while cautioning that the comparison is not like-for-like. Without a shared definition of a “new watch,” a common time period, or comparable brand portfolios, that observation should not be turned into a ranking.
Why can frequent launches feel different with watches?

- Variety: Are the releases genuinely different watches, or mainly variants and collaborations?
- Distinctiveness: Does each release have a clear reason to stand apart from the last?
- Evidence: Is a launch count dated and attributed, and are comparisons based on a common measure?
These questions help make “too much” more precise, but they do not supply a universal threshold. What feels like useful momentum to one reader may feel like a crowded feed to another.
