The Fratello x IFL Watches “Moonlander” is a hand-painted limited collaboration built on Casio’s G-Shock GM-2100BB-1AER—not a factory Moon-landing dial variant released by Casio. Its custom dial depicts the lunar surface, a galaxy and Apollo 11’s Eagle lander.
What is the CasiOak Moonlander?
Fratello covered and co-developed the project with IFL Watches, whose artists painted the lunar scene onto the GM-2100BB-1AER platform. The design marked the 55th anniversary of the first Moon landing in July 1969. Gray markers and lettering on the bezel are also part of the hand-applied artwork. Fratello noted that small differences between individual dials may occur.
“CasiOak” is a popular nickname for the G-Shock 2100 series. The Moonlander keeps the base watch’s specifications; its distinguishing feature is the custom-painted appearance and limited collaboration status, rather than a different movement or set of functions.
How was it released, and what did it cost?
Fratello’s launch article, published August 27, 2024, reported an edition of 111 pieces and a one-week preorder that closed September 3, 2024. The stated preorder price was €980 excluding taxes, with delivery expected within three months after the preorder period ended. Those are historical launch terms, not a current price or confirmation that a watch is available now.

Current Moonlander stock and resale availability are not established by the available sources. Check with IFL Watches or Fratello for any present-day availability rather than assuming the original preorder can still be placed.

Casio lists world time across 31 time zones (48 cities plus UTC), a 1/100-second stopwatch for the first 60 minutes, a 24-hour countdown timer, five daily alarms, double LED lighting and a full auto-calendar through 2099. These are specifications of the base watch and, according to Fratello, also apply to the Moonlander.
Moonlander or standard GM-2100BB-1AER?
The right choice depends on whether the custom artwork and limited-run character matter to you. A standard GM-2100BB-1AER is the base-model alternative, but it does not have the Moonlander’s hand-painted dial. Casio’s regional pages or authorized sellers are the places to check for current base-model pricing; no current price is established here.

Did Casio make the hand-painted Moonlander?
Casio made the GM-2100BB-1AER that the collaboration used as its base. The Moonlander’s lunar artwork was applied by IFL Watches artists as part of the Fratello collaboration, so it is more accurate to call it an IFL-customized G-Shock than a standard Casio factory dial variant.
