Published by Jorg Weppelink on March 6, it spans an openworked perpetual calendar, an artist collaboration, a Formula One chronograph, a two-watch travel experience, and a compact limited-edition diver. Here is what each pick offers—and what is known about its price, production and availability.
How to read Fratello’s February picks
Fratello presents the series as the team’s favorite new watches each month and invites readers to share their own highlights. The five choices below therefore reflect editorial taste, not a market-wide tally or an objective best-to-worst ranking. The reported prices also use different currencies and describe very different purchases, so they are not directly comparable.
Fratello’s five selected watches
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Perpetual Calendar Openworked
This 41 mm Royal Oak pairs titanium with accents of palladium-containing Bulk Metallic Glass (BMG). Audemars Piguet’s official page identifies it as reference 26685XT.OO.1320XT.01, with openworked Calibre 7139 and a sapphire dial. Fratello reports a 9.5 mm thickness and highlights the visible calendar mechanism and movement finishing. The appeal is as much the architecture and finishing as the perpetual-calendar complication; the openworked layout makes the mechanism a central visual feature rather than hiding it beneath a conventional dial. Fratello’s article does not provide a price or production quantity for this selection.
Citizen × seconde/seconde/ Tsuyosa Limited Edition
Citizen’s collaboration with French artist and watch customizer Romaric André, known as seconde/seconde/, gives the Tsuyosa a playful visual intervention: a pixel-art katana serves as the minute hand, while the hour markers look sliced. Citizen identifies the watch as NJ0157-81L, with a 40 mm case and automatic Calibre 8210. Its announcement gives a worldwide limit of 3,600 pieces and a projected price of USD 475, with a February 2026 scheduled launch. The official product information lists approximately 42 hours of running time and 21 jewels; Citizen notes that final specifications may change and market information can vary. The projected US-dollar figure should not be treated as a verified current price in every market.
#1 Best Overall
André described the collaboration as a meeting of contrasts: “As a creative always trying to fusion the opposites in order to create impactful contrast, it is such an exciting venture to collaborate with a brand like CITIZEN. Just a French guy on one side. And a huge and historical Japanese brand on the other. The best collaborations are usually those that bring together parties that initially seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum.”
Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team
Fratello reports a 43 mm titanium case, carbon-fiber dial, COSC-certified B01 chronograph movement, 70-hour power reserve and a 1,959-piece edition. Its article lists a price of €10,500. These specifications and the price are Fratello’s reported details; the linked Breitling product page was not available to confirm them, so check with Breitling or an authorized retailer for current specifications, regional pricing and stock. The combination of a motorsport-team tie-in, carbon-fiber styling and a chronograph makes this the most overtly Formula One-focused choice in the selection.

Panerai Radiomir Viaggio nel Tempo Experience set
This is not a single watch purchase: Panerai’s offering is a set of two 47 mm Radiomir watches paired with a September 15–18, 2026 experience. The official Panerai page identifies 30 limited-edition sets and the models as PAM01729 and PAM01730. PAM01729 is a bronze Radiomir California with hand-wound P.3000 and a three-day power reserve. PAM01730 uses Panerai’s Platinumtech and a hand-wound P.3001/10 movement. Panerai lists the price as available on request; Fratello reports €145,000 for the set. That reported amount is for the package, not a like-for-like single-watch price.
Unimatic Modello Cinque U5S-BL Limited Edition
Fratello reports a 36 mm case, 43.7 mm lug-to-lug length, 22 mm strap, Sellita SW200-1b movement and 41-hour power reserve. It lists the price at €1,100 and says the 300 U5S-BL units and 300 U5S-BLN units sold out within hours. Those specifications, price and sellout report come from Fratello; no primary Unimatic source is available here to confirm them. Treat the stated sellout as a report about the release, not proof of current availability or the status of resale listings.

For the AP, the reference, caliber, materials and sapphire dial are listed by Audemars Piguet. Citizen’s projected price, limited quantity and specifications are from its February 20, 2026 announcement. Panerai’s set details and experience information are on its official product page. Remaining reported details are from Fratello’s February roundup.
What stands out across the selection
- Different kinds of scarcity: Citizen specifies 3,600 watches worldwide and Panerai 30 sets. Fratello reports limited quantities for Breitling and Unimatic; those figures have not been confirmed here by the brands.
- One set changes the comparison: Panerai’s reported €145,000 price covers two watches and a dated experience, while the other selections are individual watches.
- Two very different approaches to display: AP puts a perpetual-calendar movement on view; Citizen uses a pixel-art hand and sliced markers to turn the dial into a graphic collaboration.
- Availability is not the same as edition size: a stated production cap does not establish present stock. In particular, Fratello’s Unimatic sellout report is not a current inventory check.
Sources and scope
Fratello’s roundup was published March 6, 2026, and is the source for its five editorial selections and the reported Breitling and Unimatic details. Brand pages provide the AP, Citizen and Panerai information linked above. No market-level statistic establishing a total number of watch releases or sales in February 2026 is available in these sources, so this article makes no claim that the five picks represent the whole month.
