The Furlan Marri Mechaquartz Ardesia Blu, reference 20203, is the blue-dial version listed by Time+Tide’s US shop. Its compact 38 mm case houses a quartz-based Seiko VK64 mechaquartz chronograph, according to Time+Tide’s review. The shop listed it at US$850 when accessed on 8 October 2026; check the listing for current price and availability.
What is the Furlan Marri Mechaquartz?
Mechaquartz is a hybrid movement description, not a claim that the watch is fully mechanical. Time+Tide’s 16 June 2025 review identifies the calibre in the Ardesia Blu and Sabbia Rosa as the Seiko VK64: quartz provides timekeeping, while a mechanical module operates the chronograph. The US shop listing uses the broader term “Quartz” and does not name the calibre.
Furlan Marri describes Mr. Grey as its Mechaquartz model that received the 2021 GPHG Horological Revelation Prize. That recognition belongs to Mr. Grey, not to the Ardesia Blu or every watch in the line. Furlan Marri’s official site identifies the award.
How big is the Ardesia Blu?
Time+Tide reports a 38 mm case diameter, 12 mm thickness and 46 mm lug-to-lug measurement for the Ardesia Blu. It has 20 mm lugs, so the listed width is the relevant starting point when considering replacement straps. The review describes a domed sapphire crystal, stainless-steel case and 50 metres of water resistance.

#1 Best Overall
- VK63 MECHA-QUARTZ CHRONOGRAPH: The WD1863 uses a VK63 mecha-quartz movement with a central 1/5-second chronograph hand, 60-minute counter, running small seconds and a 24-hour display. The pushers control start, stop and reset, combining quartz accuracy with crisp mechanical-style chronograph action for practical elapsed-time measurement.
- BUBBLE SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL & ALUMINUM BEZEL: The raised bubble-style sapphire crystal adds depth above the dial, while a high-clear inner AR coating helps reduce reflections. A 316L stainless steel case and bracelet provide a solid everyday build, and the fixed aluminum bezel creates a defined frame around the vintage chronograph display.
- SUPER BGW-9 BLUE LUME: BGW-9 super luminous material is applied to the hands, hour markers and selected dial details. After exposure to light, these elements produce a blue glow that supports quick time reading in darker surroundings. Coverage follows the individual dial design and remains clearly arranged around the three-register chronograph display.
- 100M WATER RESISTANCE: The screw-down crown and screw-down case back support a 100M water-resistance rating for daily wear and suitable surface-water use. Always tighten the crown fully before contact with water, do not operate the chronograph pushers while the watch is wet or submerged, and avoid hot water, steam and diving. Water resistance should be checked periodically as seals age.
- COMPACT 39MM WRIST PROFILE: The WD1863 measures 39mm across the bezel, with a 41mm mid-case, 46mm lug-to-lug length, 12.9mm thickness including the raised crystal and 20mm lug width. These proportions balance the detail of a three-register chronograph with a wearable footprint. The 20mm bracelet remains proportionate to the case, while the raised crystal adds vintage depth to the compact design.
Those measurements describe the watch, not how it will fit a particular wrist. The review says it comes with two quick-release leather straps; it also lists a two-year battery life. The water-resistance rating alone is not a recommendation for swimming or diving.
How do Ardesia Blu and Sabbia Rosa differ?
Time+Tide’s June 2025 review describes two distinct colorways and dial designs. Both share the reported case dimensions and movement, but their appearance differs:

Time+Tide’s review dated 16 June 2025 listed A$1,200 and £630 for the two variants. Those are historical prices in Australian dollars and pounds, not the current US listing price. The US shop page documents Ardesia Blu 20203; it does not establish current US stock for every Mechaquartz reference.

- Dial and case finish: Choose between Ardesia Blu’s blue printed sector dial and Sabbia Rosa’s rosy champagne dial with a rose-gold PVD case.
- Movement expectations: The VK64 is quartz-based with a mechanical chronograph module; it is not a fully mechanical chronograph.
- Fit and straps: Use the reported 38 × 12 mm case and 46 mm lug-to-lug as sizing references. The 20 mm lugs and two supplied quick-release straps are useful details if strap choice matters.
- Water use: The listed rating is 50 m. Do not treat that figure by itself as confirmation that a specific water activity is suitable.
- Listing details: Verify the exact reference, price and availability with the retailer, especially when comparing a US listing with older prices or other variants.
