What is the Neo Bridges Aston Martin Edition?
It is Girard-Perregaux’s limited-edition watch created with Aston Martin. The model’s exact reference is 84000-21-3236-5CX. The manufacturer presents the design as inspired by the Aston Martin DB12, with its contours and facets informing the watch’s visual language. Girard-Perregaux’s product description frames the collaboration as more than branding: the carmaker’s influence is expressed through the watch’s shape and movement presentation.
Patrick Pruniaux, Girard-Perregaux’s CEO, characterized the result as “the impressive outcome of two companies synergistically working together.” That is the manufacturer’s description of the partnership, rather than an independent assessment. The brand describes the partnership as continuing.
How the open-worked movement shapes the design
The watch omits a conventional dial to reveal the automatic calibre GP08400-2164 from the front. In this inverted arrangement, components normally seen on the movement’s rear face become part of the display. The Neo-shaped bridges support the gear train and balance, making structural parts of the movement central to the design. Girard-Perregaux describes the bridges and exposed components as both functional and visual elements.

Specialist publication Monochrome reports that the calibre measures 32 mm across and 5.45 mm thick, and comprises 208 components and 29 jewels. It beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and has a 48-hour power reserve. These are published technical specifications, not results from an independent test. The case and edition figures come from Wempe’s listing for the exact reference; the brand’s product description supplies the buckle and stitching details. A 3-bar rating is a modest water-resistance specification, so this is not a watch to treat as a dive model.
Edition size, launch timing and price context
Wempe states that the edition is limited to 250 examples worldwide. Monochrome reported that the watch became available in December 2023, with launch prices of EUR 39,800, CHF 36,000 and USD 37,700. Who is this watch for?
The design makes the most sense for someone drawn to visible movement architecture and the specific Girard-Perregaux–Aston Martin collaboration. Its 45 mm diameter is a substantial case size, while the 3-bar water resistance and open-worked presentation point to a watch intended primarily to be appreciated as a mechanical object rather than as a tool watch. The stated edition of 250 also makes it a limited production model, but that fact alone says nothing about present-day demand or resale performance.
