The Glashütte Original Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date “Swimming Pool” and “Watermelon” are two 2024 limited editions distinguished chiefly by dial color: turquoise for Swimming Pool and coral red for Watermelon. Each was offered with either a black rubber strap or a stainless-steel bracelet, making four reference/configuration combinations. Launch coverage reported 100 pieces per colorway; current availability and pricing should be confirmed for the specific reference and region.
What distinguishes Swimming Pool from Watermelon?
The Swimming Pool edition has a turquoise dial; Watermelon has a coral-red dial. Both use the same rounded, television-like square case and the same chronograph and date layout. The choice between them is a matter of color preference rather than a difference in function.
The names refer to the 2024 special editions. Glashütte Original later described the colors of a different edition in the same model family as intentionally open to interpretation, but that statement was not specifically about these two watches. The official product page is for a later Plasma colorway, not either 2024 edition.
Four references: dial color and attachment
Each color was available on a black rubber strap or a stainless-steel bracelet. Use the reference number to distinguish the exact configuration when checking with a boutique or retailer.

The reference strings identify the reported 2024 combinations; they do not establish that a strap or bracelet can be freely exchanged between watches. Confirm fit and the correct configuration with Glashütte Original or an authorized retailer.
Shared case, movement and functions
Both editions belong to the Seventies line, part of Glashütte Original’s Vintage collection, which the brand frames as modern interpretations of 1960s and 1970s design. The cushion-shaped stainless-steel case measures 40 × 40 mm and 14.1 mm thick, with 100 metres of water resistance, according to Time+Tide’s 2024 launch coverage. The automatic Calibre 37-02 drives both watches. Its functions include a flyback chronograph and the Panorama Date, alongside small seconds, chronograph counters and a power-reserve display. The movement is visible through the sapphire caseback. Launch coverage reports a 70-hour power reserve. The official page for a different colorway in the model family also lists Calibre 37-02, a 70-hour reserve, a 40 × 40 mm case and 10 bar water resistance; those details corroborate the family specifications, not current availability of the 2024 editions. Launch prices and limited-edition quantity
Time+Tide reported launch prices in August 2024 of US$14,800 for either color on rubber and US$16,000 on a bracelet. These are historical launch figures, not confirmed current prices. The same 2024 launch coverage, alongside Monochrome Watches’ report, states that production was limited to 100 pieces per colorway; that quantity is per dial color, not 100 pieces for each strap or bracelet configuration.
