The Graham Chronofighter Vintage Nose Art Ltd. is a 44 mm stainless-steel automatic chronograph built around a large, left-side trigger control and a painted pin-up dial. Graham’s 2019 reference guide lists four dial variants, each limited to 100 pieces, plus calibre G1747, a 48-hour power reserve and 100 m water resistance. It is a deliberately bold watch; the case size and trigger placement are central to whether it will suit you.
What is the Chronofighter Vintage Nose Art Ltd.?
Graham frames the collection around the “nose art” painted on military aircraft from the 1940s onward. Here, the idea appears as a pin-up illustration painted on a sunbrushed black or blue dial. The large trigger-style chronograph control on the left side of the case gives the watch its other defining feature.
The 2019 Graham reference guide documents four variants, each limited to 100 pieces:
| Variant | Dial and strap | Reference in Graham’s 2019 guide |
|---|---|---|
| Sally | Black dial, black calf strap | 2CVAS.B21A |
| Anna | Black dial, green calf strap | 2CVAS.B22A |
| Lilly | Blue dial, blue calf strap | 2CVAS.U105A |
| Nina | Blue dial, blue calf strap | 2CVAS.U04A |
There is a reference-code discrepancy for Lilly: the Monochrome review prints 2CVAS.U05A, whereas Graham’s guide shows 2CVAS.U105A. If buying, confirm the reference and dial artwork against the individual watch and its documentation rather than relying on a listing title alone. How the trigger works and wears
In Monochrome’s review, the lower left-side trigger operates chronograph start and stop, while a separate mushroom-shaped pusher at 10 o’clock resets it. The reviewer found the trigger straightforward to use with the thumb when wearing the watch on the left wrist, but cautioned that it may feel awkward on the right wrist. These are that reviewer’s observations, not a fit guarantee for every wearer.
The same review describes curved lugs that help the watch follow the wrist, but the 44 mm case and prominent control still give it substantial wrist presence. If you can, try it on before buying—especially if you prefer compact watches or intend to wear it on the right wrist. The standard calf strap closes with a steel pin buckle.

Dial legibility and design
The pin-up artwork is the collection’s visual focus, set against the black or blue sunbrushed dial. Monochrome notes a large 12 numeral, luminous baton markers, a 30-minute chronograph counter, day-date at 9 and small seconds at 3. The painted figure makes the watch more distinctive than a conventional tool-style chronograph, while also making its look less restrained. Whether that is a draw or a drawback comes down to how much attention you want the dial to attract.

Monochrome’s historical review reported CHF 5,450 in its availability section, but its technical-specification block gives CHF 5,540. Because those figures conflict, neither should be treated as a definitive price. They are release-era reporting, not a current quote.
