Grand Seiko’s SBGW327 is reported to be a 99-piece edition for mainland China, with a pale-blue textured dial inspired by “Chéng Quán” (澄泉), or “clear spring water.” It is also reported to use the brand’s hand-wound 9S64 movement. Those model details come from Notebookcheck’s October 3, 2026 report; an official Grand Seiko announcement or product page for the SBGW327 was not located.
What is the SBGW327?
Notebookcheck reported on October 3, 2026, that Grand Seiko China had announced the SBGW327 as a 99-piece limited edition sold only in mainland China. The outlet’s account is the available model-specific source, so the edition size and regional restriction should be treated as reported details rather than independently confirmed specifications from Grand Seiko.
The name Chéng Quán (澄泉) is rendered in the report as “clear spring water.” The design translates that theme into a pale-blue textured dial, complemented by a rose-gold-colored Grand Seiko logo and seconds hand. A grey-brown grained leather strap with pale-blue stitching adds a contrasting, less saturated tone.
Case design and dimensions
Notebookcheck describes a stainless-steel case with faceted finishing associated with Grand Seiko’s 44GS design language. Its reported dimensions are:

These measurements are secondary-reported for the SBGW327; they have not been corroborated here by a model-specific Grand Seiko specification sheet. The official SBGW297 page lists an 18 mm strap width for that related model, but that does not establish the SBGW327’s strap size or strap compatibility.
What the hand-wound 9S64 offers
The SBGW327 is reported to use Grand Seiko’s manual-winding 9S64. Grand Seiko’s official caliber information gives the movement 24 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and approximately 72 hours of power reserve. It also has a stop-seconds function, commonly called hacking, which stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled for time-setting.

Notebookcheck said no price had been published for the SBGW327 and reported mainland China as its sales region. The current availability, authorized sales channel, and any possibility of purchase outside that market are unresolved in the sources available here. Buyers should not assume that a listing from an overseas seller is an official route to obtain the limited edition.

Grand Seiko’s official 9S64 information and the brand’s regional Singapore caliber page describe the movement, not the SBGW327’s release or sales arrangements. For a confirmed price, specification sheet, or retailer, a Grand Seiko China announcement or authorized local retailer listing would be needed.
