Listings can blur the standard Takeoff Auto Chrono and its limited edition. Match the reference number—not just the model name—against the watch and its paperwork or seller description.

Hamilton’s specifications are product-page claims; the cited pages do not state a publication year. The limited edition’s listed strap reference is H6907671001, described by Hamilton as calf leather. The same 22 mm lug width on both watches is a useful starting point for finding a replacement strap, not a guarantee that every 22 mm strap will clear the case or fit its end shape.
What makes the Takeoff different
Removable case and dash mount
The defining feature is the case that detaches from the wrist-worn configuration and attaches to a fixed dash mount. Hamilton says the original Takeoff was developed to meet the needs of Air Zermatt, the Swiss mountain rescue service. Hodinkee also describes the limited edition as an oversized pilot chronograph with a removable case and a stated 60-hour reserve (Hodinkee).

Hamilton describes the standard H76786733 as having a chronograph and a bi-directional turning flange for countdown timing. EuropaStar likewise describes the Takeoff as developed for Air Zermatt and lists chronograph and countdown functions (EuropaStar).
