The Hublot Classic Fusion Essential Taupe is a 2025 limited-color take on the Classic Fusion design, offered in 42 mm and 45 mm titanium cases. Both pair a sunray taupe dial with a matching rubber-and-fabric strap; the main differences are size, movement calibre and, in reviewer Robin Nooy’s view, how balanced each version looks on the wrist.
What makes the Essential Taupe distinctive?
The Essential Taupe applies a restrained, monochrome palette to Hublot’s recognizable Classic Fusion case. Polished and satin-finished titanium contrasts with a sunray taupe dial, while the matching taupe strap combines rubber with woven fabric texture. Applied markers and faceted hands add definition without breaking up the muted color scheme.
Those design impressions reflect Robin Nooy’s hands-on review for Monochrome Watches, published 5 August 2025. Nooy praised the dial’s restrained finish and the strap’s textile texture; these are subjective assessments, not universal judgments about appearance or comfort.
Hublot’s official product information lists titanium for the model’s case and bezel without specifying a grade. The brand’s general materials page says it uses grade 5 titanium, but that broader statement does not establish the grade for this particular model. See Hublot’s product page for the model specifications.

How do the 42 mm and 45 mm versions compare?
| Specification | 42 mm | 45 mm |
|---|---|---|
| Reference | 542.NX.4610.NR.HEC25 | 511.NX.4610.NR.HEC25 |
| Case diameter | 42 mm (Hublot) | 45 mm (Hublot) |
| Thickness | 10.4 mm (reported by Monochrome Watches, 2025) | 10.95 mm (reported by Monochrome Watches, 2025) |
| Movement | HUB1110 self-winding | HUB1112 self-winding |
| Power reserve | Approximately 48 hours (Hublot) | Approximately 48 hours (Hublot) |
| Price at launch | CHF 7,700 / EUR 8,800 / USD 8,900 (Monochrome Watches, 2025; same price for both sizes) | CHF 7,700 / EUR 8,800 / USD 8,900 (Monochrome Watches, 2025; same price for both sizes) |
The case diameter and calibre are the clearest specification differences. Hublot lists approximately 48 hours of power reserve for both self-winding movements. Monochrome’s thickness figures are reviewer-reported measurements, rather than figures in the model-specific technical specifications on Hublot’s page.
Which size looks more balanced?
Nooy preferred the 42 mm version, writing, “And yes, straight out of the gate, the 42mm would be better.” He described the 45 mm as large, though he found its 10.95 mm height pleasant on his wrist. He also thought the strap felt too wide on the 45 mm and considered the smaller watch better proportioned. These are one reviewer’s fit observations, not a rule for every wrist; wrist shape and personal preference matter.

- Strap: taupe rubber and fabric.
- Clasp: stainless-steel deployant buckle.

Suitability depends on the activity and the watch’s condition; consult Hublot for guidance rather than treating the rating as an endorsement for a particular use.
How much does the Hublot Classic Fusion Essential Taupe cost?
Prices vary by market and date. Monochrome Watches reported launch-era prices of CHF 7,700, EUR 8,800 and USD 8,900 in 2025, and said both sizes cost the same then. A later Hublot Netherlands listing displayed EUR 9,100 including VAT for the 42 mm model when checked in 2026. That Netherlands figure is regional and applies to the 42 mm listing; it is not a current global price. Check Hublot’s Netherlands page or Hublot’s local site for current pricing and availability in your market.
When did it launch, and where can it be found?
The Classic Fusion Essential Taupe was introduced in 2025. In a 12 May 2026 announcement for the Spirit of Big Bang Essential Taupe, Hublot stated: “After the Classic Fusion Essential Taupe in 2025, 2026 marks the launch of the Spirit of Big Bang Essential Taupe.”
Monochrome described the Classic Fusion’s 2025 launch as an online exclusive at hublot.com. Hublot’s current product page also provides a boutique route, so the launch arrangement should not be read as a statement about present-day sales channels. Use Hublot’s local site or boutique to confirm current availability.
