The Valérarch Serenity 39 is a 39 mm automatic steel sports watch with a slim 9.2 mm case, a 24-hour dial scale and a Sellita-based movement. Valérarch says it designs watches in South Korea and manufactures them in Switzerland. The “hands-on” impressions below come from Robin Nooy’s sponsored Monochrome Watches video review, published 10 January 2024; they are his observations, not an independent WatchRanker wear test.
What is the Valérarch Serenity 39?
The Serenity 39, reference ARC 23.01, was Valérarch’s first model. In his sponsored review, Robin Nooy described the company as founded in 2022. Valérarch presents the watch as a steel sports model shaped by contemporary automotive design and neo-Gothic architecture; Nooy also cited the Aston Martin DB12 as an influence. These are the brand’s and reviewer’s descriptions of the design, not independently documented design history.

Is it made in South Korea or Switzerland?
According to Valérarch, the company is based in South Korea and designs its watches there, while manufacturing takes place in Switzerland. The brand’s model page says: “We design our watches in South Korea and manufacture them at the highest standard in Switzerland.” This distinction matters: calling the Serenity 39 simply South Korean-made would not match the company’s own account. The case is stainless steel with a mix of polished and brushed surfaces, crown guards and elongated, curved lugs. Sapphire crystals cover the dial and display back. The official dimensions and key specifications are:

Valérarch describes the dial as dark rhodium with a sunray finish. Applied luminous hour markers and hands sit above a white minute track, with a secondary 24-hour scale on the dial. The scale adds a second time-reading reference, but the watch does not have a GMT hand or a separately adjustable second time zone.
How does the 39 mm Serenity 39 wear?
Diameter alone does not determine fit. The 50 mm lug-to-lug is relatively long for a 39 mm case, while the 9.2 mm height keeps the case profile slim. Valérarch says the curved lugs make the watch wear more like a 47–48 mm lug-to-lug watch. That is the brand’s fit claim, not a guarantee that it will fit every wrist. Nooy reported that his review sample felt balanced; individual fit depends on wrist shape and strap or bracelet configuration.

What movement is inside?
The automatic Cal. 3301 is based on a top-grade Sellita SW300-1b, according to Valérarch. The review identifies it as a no-date, three-hand movement with 25 jewels and a stated 56-hour power reserve. Valérarch lists a 4 Hz frequency, hacking seconds and decorated, gold-finished components. These are published specifications; they do not establish measured accuracy for an individual watch.
A Sellita base provides a recognizable movement platform, but the Cal. 3301’s published figures should be read as specifications rather than performance-test results. The cited sources do not provide an independent accuracy test.

Which strap or bracelet options are offered?
The Serenity 39 has been offered on leather, FKM rubber or a steel bracelet. The 19 mm strap width is useful to know if considering replacement straps. Current variant status and displayed prices can change; the official store listing status observed for the international pages is described below.
What did the 2024 review say about price, and can you still buy it?
Nooy’s sponsored Monochrome review listed launch-era prices of USD 2,680 on leather or rubber and USD 3,300 on the steel bracelet in January 2024. Those are historical figures, not a current quote or evidence of a recurring price.
On the official international store pages consulted in 2026, the bracelet listing displayed USD 3,300 and was marked sold out; the calfskin listing displayed USD 2,860 and was also marked sold out. The product page says orders are currently closed. These listings do not establish whether the watch can be obtained elsewhere or whether Valérarch will reopen orders. Valérarch’s product information states a two-year international warranty and says paid repairs or servicing are available after the warranty period. Confirm the terms with the brand before purchase, since warranty coverage and ordering details can change.

The Serenity 39 may appeal to someone looking for a relatively slim automatic steel watch with a 24-hour dial scale, sapphire front and back, and a Sellita-based movement. Fit is worth checking carefully: the case is 39 mm across, but its 50 mm lug-to-lug measurement and curved lugs may sit differently from a shorter-lug watch of the same diameter. Buyers should also distinguish the brand’s South Korean design base from its stated Swiss manufacturing, and verify whether orders are open before treating any listed price as available.
