The March LA.B AM2 “Nyctalope” Carbon pairs a compact octagonal case made from green-and-black forged carbon with a textured green dial and a date display carrying a small brand-specific detail. It is a 169-piece automatic limited edition, not a GMT: inside is a La Joux-Perret G100 with a manufacturer-published 68-hour power reserve. Its strongest distinction is visual and material—the carbon case and luminous treatment give the familiar AM2 shape a more contemporary character.
What makes the Nyctalope Carbon distinctive?
The case is made from forged green-and-black carbon, which gives each watch a layered, irregular pattern rather than the uniform appearance of a conventional metal case. March LA.B says the material absorbs blue light and releases it in darkness, describing the effect as “an almost magnetic depth.” That is the brand’s description of the case’s light response, not a performance measurement.
On the dial, a textured green central motif resembles woven armor. Solid Super-LumiNova indexes and gunmetal PVD hands provide the luminous elements. In his hands-on account, Jorg Weppelink of Fratello Watches reports that the green parts glow under UV exposure; that observation is distinct from the brand’s statement about the carbon responding to blue light.
The customized date display supplies a subtler brand reference: Weppelink notes that the date disc shows a green “3” on the third day of each month, a nod to March and the brand’s birth month. The watch otherwise has a straightforward three-hand-and-date layout.

How does it wear?
At 38 mm across and 44 mm from lug to lug, the case is relatively compact on paper, though its octagonal outline gives it a more assertive presence than the diameter alone suggests. It is 12.8 mm thick and takes 20 mm straps. Weppelink says the watch fit his 18.5 cm wrist and felt enjoyable to wear because of the light case material. That is one reviewer’s experience; wrist shape and fit preferences vary.
Weppelink also calls out the push/pull crown as an unexpected choice for a watch rated to 100 m. The rating is the manufacturer’s specification; it is not a reason to operate the crown in water. For swimming or other water exposure, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and ensure the crown is properly seated.

March LA.B supplies two Julien Faure jacquard straps: a black one with a titanium buckle and a green-and-black one with a black PVD steel buckle. The straps do not have quick-release spring bars, according to Weppelink. A spring-bar tool is included, as is a travel case with a pin-pusher.

The G100’s reserve, frequency and construction details are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results. The AM2 Nyctalope Carbon is a three-hand automatic with a date, rather than a GMT or a watch with a second time-zone display.

At the time of the cited 2026 product listing, March LA.B’s US-facing page displayed a price of $2,995 USD and an “Add to cart” control. The brand identifies the watch as a 169-piece limited edition, but the listing does not establish how many pieces remain. The launch price reported by Fratello Watches and Monochrome Watches on March 3, 2026, was €2,495. Who is it for?
The Nyctalope Carbon makes most sense for someone drawn to the AM2’s restrained octagonal form but looking for a more unusual case material and a distinctly green, luminous dial. The 38 mm diameter and two included straps offer practical flexibility, while the patterned carbon and monthly date detail make it less visually conventional than a plain steel three-hander. Fratello describes the carbon edition as more modern in character than steel AM2 variants; that is a design impression rather than an objective ranking.
Its appeal is less clear if you want a GMT, quick-change straps, or a design whose material and dial effects are deliberately understated. The manufacturer’s specifications provide a 100 m water-resistance rating and a 68-hour reserve, but the available figures do not establish how the watch compares in performance or value with other watches at similar prices.
