The 2020 TAG Heuer Carrera Sport Chronograph pairs an olive green dial with a steel tachymeter bezel—a less contrasting frame than the ceramic bezels used on other versions. In Time+Tide’s hands-on review of reference CBN2A10.BA0643, the dial’s brushed surface and changing color in different light were the watch’s defining details.

Why the olive green dial stands out

Nick Kenyon, Senior Author at Time+Tide, described the dial as shifting “from a dark emerald to an effervescent chartreuse green in direct sunlight.” That is a reviewer’s visual impression, not a formal color measurement; it captures how the olive green can look deeper indoors and brighter under direct sun.

Kenyon also pointed to the radial brushing, which helps the dial catch the light. The steel bezel has a finish that visually blends with the case and bracelet, leaving the dial to supply most of the color contrast. The result is a more unified steel-and-green look than the versions with colored ceramic bezels.

What the 2020 watch is

The hands-on subject is the 2020 Carrera Sport Chronograph, full reference CBN2A10.BA0643 in Time+Tide’s review. TAG Heuer’s historical collection page identifies the green-dial, steel-bezel configuration as CBN2A10. The Sport Chronograph collection launched in July 2020 as four 44 mm Heuer 02 models.

How it compares with the other 2020 Sport Chronographs

The original Sport Chronograph lineup varied the dial and bezel colors, as well as bezel material. TAG Heuer’s historical collection page lists these combinations:

Configuration Bezel Reference
Black dial Black ceramic Not stated on TAG Heuer’s historical collection page
Blue dial Blue ceramic Not stated on TAG Heuer’s historical collection page
Green dial Steel CBN2A10
Black-and-gold dial and bezel Gold-colored configuration Not stated on TAG Heuer’s historical collection page

The green version is the choice for someone who wants color without a strongly contrasting colored bezel. The ceramic options give the bezel a more conspicuous frame. All of these are 44 mm models; if case presence matters, try the watch on rather than relying on diameter alone. The 2020 watch is about 15.3 mm thick, and wrist fit varies with wrist shape and preference.

Historical prices and present-day availability

Prices reported when the watch was reviewed in 2020 were AUD 8,300 from Time+Tide on 10 September and €5,450 / US$5,750 from Time and Watches on 20 September for the stainless-steel models it covered. These are dated historical figures, not current quotes. The available information does not establish current stock or pricing for CBN2A10.BA0643.

Do not confuse it with the newer teal-green Carrera

TAG Heuer also lists a separate 42 mm teal-green Carrera, reference CDB2112.BA0054. The current official page gives it a ceramic bezel, TH20-00 movement, 80-hour power reserve, 100 m water resistance, 14.2 mm thickness and 22 mm lug distance. Those are specifications of that newer model—not the 44 mm olive-green CBN2A10.
